Throwing some draft scenarios at you, JetsNation

This is all predicated on the ideal situation sliding back in round 1 and picking up an extra #2 . It may not be possible because it takes two to tangle, but I do think Macc would trade back if possible.

1) Vic Beasley (best pass rusher in the draft and that is saying something)
2a) Bryce Petty (don't gamble he slides further unless you have Grayson higher)
2b) Duke Johnson (again, he might be there in round 3 but i wouldn't gamble it
3) Tre Jackson (OG, FSU) might be best run blocking guard in the draft
4) Chris Conley/Tyler Lockett one of the two will be on the board and can really stretch defenses & both can return kicks

Another scenario on trading back to mid-first:

1) Todd Gurley
2a) Dorial Green-Beckham
2b) Eli Harold/Shaq Thompson (good chance one of the 2 is there)
3) Garret Grayson
4) PJ Williams (I think he's sliding right now but he will be a very good pro)

One last scenario (stay put in round 1 put swap 2nd rounders & pick up an extra 3)

1) Amari Cooper
2) Eli Harold/Shaq Thompson
3a) Duke Johson
3b) Tre Jackson
4a) Brett Hundley

Which scenario do y'all like the best? And, yes, none of the above is a viable answer.

I hate Dorial Green-Beckham, so any scenario including him is a bad one. Substitute Devin Smith or Nelson Agoholr and I'll take scenario 2

Beasely wont be able to be gotten in a trade down..unless..it is one or 2 spots..and if that is case..they wont be getting extra second..maybe extra third.....Beasely will be gone in top ten

I would think Beasley is going anywhere in the top 20. Definitely not a lock for the top 10. Kiper and McShay's latest mock has him in round 2!! I would be shocked if that's the case. He's probably the best mix of pass rusher and coverage LB in this draft. Having a guy like him who you can count on to stick with backs and TE's is huge in today's game.

All I hear is Beasley sliding, Ray's sliding, Gregory sliding. Certain people don't like certain players. Has Kiper and McShay ever been correct on 20% of the landing spots of these players except for the top 4 draft picks in the 1st Rd?

Heard Kiper on the radio yesterday - maybe Mike & Mike. One of them was doing over-under and put Kiper's number of right picks in the first round at 20. Kiper said he'd bet it would be more like 8. He doesn't seem to have any illusions about his prognostication skills. When he's just talking about prospects, he's okay...no worse than any of the other 'experts' really.

Without projecting trades, I'd like to come off with some combination like this:

1) Cooper/White, 2) Johnson, 3) Grayson (called the 'all-offense-all-day scenario). I'm fine with an OL in rounds 2 or 3. I'm also okay with Gurley in 1 and a WR in 2. I just think I'd like to see an offense with a lot of weapons positioned nicely for a good QB if/when one should finally appear.

I like where your heads at. Some really good players that represent a need for this team. I'm torn down the middle between Petty and Grayson; I think either one is an upgrade over Geno.

Also, your thoughts on Kiper are spot on. He has never pretended to accurately predict the slots. Years ago Josh McCown took Tebow in round 1. You can't predict who's going to fall in love with who. But he does an excellent job of scouting the draft and accurately predicting the general area of where a prospect will go. I am firmly in the camp that he doesn't get the respect he deserves for all of the knowledge that he has.

Months ago it was Vic Beasley, then he went away and Shane Ray was the guy, now Ray has turf toe looking @ surgery, and I'm hearing Vic Beasley everywhere again.

To me, besides Fowler, every OLB / DE is a huge risk @ pick #6 . We will either have Kevin White or Amari Cooper who I feel more comfortable with sitting there @ 6. I know we have Brandon Marshall but he's 30, and if either Decker or Marshall goes down with injury, or Marshall "goes off on Geno", we have no back-up WR worth a hoot ! There will be some sleeper stud OLB @ 37 or 70.

Assuming Mariota is gone this is easily my favorite scenario. It addresses every one of our needs with each pick...

BTW - No way Beasley makes it to the 2nd round. That's absurd for Kiper to assert that.
