It's time for him to go, but I will miss him. I really thought the Jets were going to win a ring with him.

Same here. I really wish we saw that. he would have been king of NY and would never stop talking about it. He kind of l Iost his swagger once upper management told him to tone down his rhetoric. It was down hill from then on.

It was actually downhill when the lockout ended in 2011. Mike Tannenbaum did an horrendous job at GM:

Giving Santanio an unnecessarily huge contract;
Bringing in Plaxico and letting Sanchez's security blanket (Braylon Edwards) leave.
Wasting time on trying to sign Namdi Asomugha while losing spark plug Brad Smith.
After the 2011 season giving an unnecessary raise and contract extension to Mark Sanchez;
Not supporting Sanchez with any skill position offensive talent for 2012;
Signing Drew Stanton then a week later trading for Tim Tebow, then having to get rid of Stanton. (CLUELESS!)

I can go on, but why bother.....

You are absolutely right. Tanny's last two years and now Idzik's second year have destroyed this franchise. Idzik had a good first year, he got rid of all the mess that Tanny created, cleared cap space and gave us plenty of draft picks. He just did not use the cap space or draft picks correctly and that is why I cannot trust him to be the gm for this team moving forward.
