If Mariotta is there at #6 , and the JETS don't want him, I believe we will trade down.......
We might if we find a good offer, or we might take Mariota ... I'm just playing a hunch here.

I'm not trying to be smarter than everyone else, Cop, its just a gut feeling that I have.

I'll take It in a heartbeat, but I doubt Dorsett will be there at 37

The guy I'm really hoping for at 37 is Donovan Smith, but I have him going with the first pick in RD 2 (33) to the Titans.

Don't get me wrong, I'll be thrilled to add Dorsett's speed in the slot, but Donovan Smith is a beast.

Okay I surrender, I still don't think the Titans will take Mariota, but there are indications thats where they are heading.

Honestly it doesn't matter to me, if they take him, fine, if he falls to us and we take him, I'm fine with that too.

seems like you changed this up since i got a glance at it yesterday (but didn't get a chance to comment).

IIRC, you originally had us passing on mariota, but seem to have changed it. my personal preference is to take white if the top 5 play out the way you have it, but i'd be fine with white, beasley or dupree, as i'd assume that macc and his scouts and the coaches picked the player they liked the best. i won't pretend to know more than them.

personally, i'm not a big fan of devin smith (and it's not my anti-buckeye agenda...mangold is one of my favorite jets). i just think he is overrated and a bit of a 1-trick pony (albeit a very good one in college). while osu wasn't a huge passing team, he had too many games with just 1 or 2 catches. granted he had a ridonculus 28.2 average. i'd rather a more complete WR if we are gonna take one with that pick

Agree 100%. Posters LOVE to compare great combine athletes to Stephen Hill. Most of the time the comparison is way off, and they would see that if they had watched the player in college. But in this case, I think the Hill comparison fits. Smith runs fly routes and often found himself getting behind the defense because the safeties were cheating up to help in the run game. Run-run-run-run-run-run-play action deep. This is very similar to the formula that made Hill successful at GT. Smith hasn't had to do a lot of beating double coverage, running a variety of routes, and beating coverage when the defense knew OSU had to throw.

Smith makes me very nervous. Compare him to Jordan Mathews in last year's class. Everyone in the stadium knew Vandy was throwing to Mathews and HE STILL GOT OPEN. That's why I loved Mathews last year. Give me the guys who had success even when defenses knew they were getting the ball.

Some of those guys in this draft? Gurley, Duke Johnson, & Amari Cooper. I love all three.

Yeah I surrendered on Mariota to the Titans, but in my heart of hearts I still don't think its gonna happen. However more and more sources are suggesting thats where they are leaning, so I have to trust what I'm reading. We'll see tomorrow.

As for Smith, its a close call with Phillips for me, both guys would give us a burner out of the slot which instantly makes us more dangerous on offense, but ultimately I chose Smith over Phillips because he has better size, 6 feet verses 5' 9"

The more I hear Mariota to the Titans in the past few days, the less I believe it will happen. If that teams wants to get better, they need a lot more than a developmental QB. They should probably race to the podium and grab Williams and that's still what I expect them to do unless they can generate a ridiculously overvalued trade-up offer with the smoke about Mariota.

Changed it again because Woody spilled the beans on the desire to add more weapons for Geno.

All along I've had Kevin White to the Jets, so now I'm back to KW with an OT in the 2nd RD
