cro in hindsight is a no-brainer but when he was let go we had millner and dougle so it was understandable.

Milliner had a flash at the end of the season, but for the most part, he had a very weak rookie season. McDougal? Really? Guy had a 5th round grade on him. Doesn't mean he couldn't turn out to be a good player, but to depend on him?
Patterson is the guy they basically traded head up for Cromartie. The concern on Cro was his hip. Patterson is never healthy. Worst then that he was never good. He, like Milliner had a flash before his injury. Other then that he was always a stiff.
I agree with you it was Woody who put the squash on Revis. In 2013 I agreed that it was time to trade Revis, but when he contacted the Jets, and was willing to play for a 1 year 12 million contract (that's what it boiled down to) it would have been a major coupe to rent him to TB for one year for a 1st and 4th while he rehabbed. Idzik would have been a rock star in NY. he should have gone into Woody's office and demanded they sign Revis if he was any kind of GM. He was on board. Total stupidity.
Your believing crap his agents or the media put out?? His deal with the Pats is 2 years 32 million if he stays 2 years.

It boils down to a one year 12 million contract. He is never going to see that 20 million. He may re do his contract, or he may just get cut and sell to the highest bidder again.
i have no reason not to believe what was said by Revis about the Jets. I can't recall the Jets coming out and strongly denying it.

I'm a Sunshiner. I predicted in the off season they would be 10-6. I never imagined that Idzik would leave the CB position in the shape it's in, that he would fan on 12 draft picks, that Smith would be forced down the team's throat. If Idzik is retained I see a very bleak future for the Jets. The man is incompetent in the most important position on the team.
If the team is rebuilt new GM, HC, and QB, I'll probably be predicting 11-5 again next year. LOL But in the mean time I am going to ***** about a horrible team.

If Woody Johnson gives Idzik a mulligan for 2014 Draft and season and lets him choose the next HC of the Jets, does Idzik wait for Seattle DC Dan Quinn? Quinn was a defensive assistant for the Jets under Mangini, so he is familiar with the shark like media that covers the team and is considered one of the top coordinators to jump up to HC this offseason. Quinn and Idzik are thought to be good friends and worked well together in Seattle. Would fans want another unproven DC to coach the Jets? Could Woody and Idzik sell this scenario to the Jets faithful? I wonder.....

Not to me! i think we need to go offense here especially if we take a qb early on in the draft but if Idzik stays, Dan Quinn may be the only option. No top candidate would like to come to NY knowing that Idzik would have only one more year before he's ousted. Usually, new gms pick their coaches too so if Idzik is out then it means it will be one and done for the coach. Only one willing to put his career on the line may be his boy Quinn.
It seems like Idzik is staying here though. He has a boatload of cash and all of his picks again. His final year, no more excuses. But now the question is, what do you expect from the Jets next year? What kind of record would be acceptable? After three wins, and a ****ty roster would 5 wins be alright?
