Jake Steinberg @Steiny31 · 3h3 hours agoI had Cooper @ 6 & Eli Harold @ 37, but after Cooper was picked, I thought for sure the Skins were going to snag Williams. My wife and I were rooting for White WR when the Jets were on the clock.
Now I'm torn @ 37 because technically Harold & Gregory were College DE's that can be converted to OLB which we need. But I now cringe when I hear the word DE, because we already have so many on our current roster. I think Harold will be gone quickly tonight because I'm hearing Gregory has more problems besides his marijuana strike. He might be skating on the wrong side of the ice ?
Funny story about Williams, even though he's from Daytona Beach, he does not own a car, he travels everywhere on a skateboard !
Macc just made an interesting comment that Williams was #1 on the Jets Big Board defensively, but #3 on the offensive side. Wonder who was #1 & #2 ? Winston or Mariota & Cooper is my bet.
Going into todays 2nd round, why not trade Big Mo for a crappy teams #1 next year in the 2016 Draft, so we can land our future QB with the Penn St. or Michigan St. QB ? I'm afraid Mo's agent is looking for stupid money and Macc will trade him ?
Go Jets...Cyborg
Every year it's the same. Every year, the armchair GMs scream and shout that the team didn't draft the guy they knew was the next Hall of Famer. And they do it from the safety of their laptops, never scrutinized for their projections.
If they are right about it, they will never let anyone ever forget that they wanted the team to pick that guy, and they would be a better GM than the bum (fill in the blank) is now.
If they are wrong about it, they will either ignore or deny that they ever said they wanted that guy, never being held responsible for their wrong picks - but reminding everyone of the ones they got right.
Ah, the joys of being an armchair GM.
Oh, and I can see us going olb in round two. That should draw an interesting response.
lolPrediction: this 2nd round pick is going to result in even more outrage. Just watch. There might even be calls for firings.
I could see this happening.

As much as going offense would make sense, my projection for tonight is Miss. St. LB Benardrick McKinney.
55 go to http://www.newyorkjets.com/ and listen to their comments on the draft. there were no calls to trade either up or down and he said he called teams above and below. So my point is you need a trading partner.... we didn't have one so your argument is moot.
After listening to the new regime discuss the draft and williams pick, I feel a lot better and now in the camp with Server....
Maccg interview about Williams
http://www.nj.com/jets/index.ssf/2015/05/xx_takeaways_from_jets_draft_pick_leonard_williams.html
He said character of kid is great....it seems important to him
so I would say
NO DGB or Gregory
which I wouldnt mind..best quote was from one of the analysts who said..when you draft either of these 2 guys..you are really drafting 2 guys..the player and his babysitter
Little rumor going around Jets interested in Yeldon (along with Jags)
I'd love TJ Yeldon.....he's a very good pass receiving back. He was dinged up all last season and didn't have a great year, but he's a player - I saw every home game he played in HS and every game he played at Bama and he's a great all around back
I like Yeldon. I would gamble on him being there in round 3 though. I think you will have at least one of Johnson, Yeldon, or Abdullah lasting that long. All three can play.
I am not a fan of Coleman. Nice speed but WAY too straight line to be effective in the NFL, in my opinion. I've been wrong before but I just don't see enough wiggle in his game.
Lastly, I think the 2nd round is a perfect place to gamble on DGB or Gregory. It may be a 50/50 prop but if you hit, you hit BIG with either player. The upside is a franchise quality player.
