My trade offer to the Titans if I was the GM

I know its far-fetched and would never happen but what if the Jets offered the Titans Mo for their first rounder next year, second rounder this year and Mettenberger? Since we all have a concern for our QB issue, some more then others and we don't know if the Jets will draft a QB this year. We will at least get a second year QB who played in a few games last year but he wasn't lights out at all. Plus, he was only a sixth round pick so he can't be worth a lot. Mo is definitely worth a second rounder this year but the first next year might be the issue, plus Mettenberger. We then get another QB to throw in the mix this year and compete, a second this year and first next year.

I would keep mo for this year and deciding next year whether to give him a long-term contract or dangle him to teams with high draft picks next year to have a chance to move up in the draft for hack

I think the Jets if they want could get Mecklenburg for a 6 or 7th next year. Tennessee has no further use for him, as they probably won't even give the former 6th round pick the chance to compete against their #2 pick. I don't think the Titans would value Mo, his contract demands and age over a potential top 5 or 10 pick...plus a second rounder this year.

You are asking for way too much

I think with Wilkerson approaching the end of his rookie deal, a new team would have to pay for an expensive extension or new deal that would substantially lower his value in a trade. My guess would be a pick in the fourth round, maybe third at best.

Just throwing it out there with my creative thinking, lol. We all do as if we are the GMs and our opinions really matter.

This is why I would be a bad GM i think like a pool player always looking 2-3 moves ahead and setting up for that. lol.

Karl Mecklenburg is more than 50 years old. I don't offer much of anything for him at this point in his life.

Zach Mettenberger, however, was a sixth round pick last year. How much is he worth?

one thing that i don't like about mettenberg is that there were reports that when the titans were gonna draft mariota that he said he wanted to be traded. now i understand being upset about possibly losing your job, but that sounds like someone who is unwilling to compete and fight for a job. and given he's a 6th round pick with a limited track record, he's not exactly in a position to make such demands.

kind of soured me a little on him.

You might need to sweeten the deal for Mecklenberg by throwing in Fitzgerald[emoji4] [emoji2]

I would offer a 5th rounder in 2016 to Tampa for Mike Glennon ... I think the kid has tools that Chan Gailey can really work with.

I'd consider Glennon, as well. One would think he has to be available.

Hasn't shown much in the NFL, but he came out of college with a good skill set.

I think you are asking for too much If you kept the rest the same and lowered this years demand to a 4th or a 5th I think that might fly.

I'd leave Mo out of discussions of Mettsenbergererer

Seems to me that the right structure is a conditional 2016 pick.

Pro Bowl - 4th Round
Plays majority of snaps in 12 games - 5th round
On Roster at end of season - 6th round
Cut before some date - 7th round
