Rontez Miles will be a ST Demon this yr and I think he will be backing up Skrine. JMO
Can't wait until camp starts and KRL's reports begin. Hoping to make it to FP for a couple of practices.

Really think TE and S are going to be very interesting positional battles in training camp. Both areas could have UDFA's in Saxton and Eskridge making the roster. I just don't see it with Cumberland and Saxton has all the ability to do what Cumberland does, but much cheaper. Eskridge is a talented kid but needs a year on the PS, hope he makes it through waivers.

Sarge, Do you have all the teams jersey #'s ? It looks like Mauldin is wearing #62 which I don't like for an OLB, and Devin Smith is wearing #84 which I don't like. He's our burner WR and needs to wear a low # ? Not sure about Williams because Snacks has his #94 ? Thanks

Skrine is a cb with sub 4.4 speed and Miles is a hard hitting safety. Totally different players/positions. I'd also be surprised if Miles made the team. He's an internet darling who hasn't done a thing preseason or otherwise since he's been here.

Cy these numbers are temp for this camp so they can be identified. The actual numbers will be assigned at a later date. Some players are wearing numbers the NLF would not let them wear.

Thanks Nick. I saw Leonard Williams in 62 which does not look right. I do like Petty In 9. I'd like to see Devin Smith wear #1 .

NFL's Uniform Numbering System

By James Alder
NFL Expert

Every football player's uniform has a number on it that is unique for that particular team, making it simpler for fans, coaches, announcers, and officials to differentiate between players. On April 5, 1973, a jersey-numbering system was adopted by the NFL where each position on the football field is given a range of numbers for each player at that position to choose from, however, there are a few players around the league that are exceptions to the rule.

This chart explains which number ranges are assigned to each position.
1-9 Quarterbacks and Kickers
10-19 Quarterbacks, Receivers, Tight Ends, and Kickers
20-49 Running Backs and Defensive Backs
50-59 Centers and Linebackers
60-79 Defensive Linemen and Offensive Linemen
80-89 Receivers and Tight Ends (or 40-49 if those ranges are taken

have the Jets actually gotten to the point where the biggest need at this point is a punter?

If so, don't make plans for weekends in January, you are going to be busy

Actually Bobby April said he really liked quigley

Actually Bobby April said he really liked quigley

Well punters are always one of the easiest to criticize from our living rooms. A few shanks and you want to cut him, but the Ray Guy types rarely come along, so I'll give Mssrs. Quigley and April the benefit if the doubt.

Quigley finished in the middle of the pack in YPP, I thought it would be worse. Couldn't find were he finished in net yards though.

Guess I'll go back to worrying about the O-Line then :)
