+1, I agree with this too. Thanks for your support Ham.
Thanks AFA, but I feel the same way about you guys, its been fun following the draft with so many people who do their homework and I've learned a lot reading other opinions.

Wes Saxton and Taiwan Jones are AWESOME UDFA, I was calling their names in the 5th round

They are strong options to make the team - at least on the practice squad

If we don't sign another UDFA I'll still be thrilled, because I don't ever recall the Jets landing two UDFA's off my short list immediately following the draft. So I feel like we already hit a home-run with the UDFA's, anything more is gravy.

TFY gave ILB Taiwan Jones a RD 3-4 Grade and he was the sixth rated ILB on their board:

Taiwan Jones
School: Michigan State
Position: ILB

Bio: Two-year starter awarded All-conference honors since his junior season. Totaled 60 tackles and 12.5 tackles for loss as a senior when he lined up at middle linebacker. Posted 67 tackles at strong side linebacker as a junior.

Positives: Explosive three down linebacker who makes plays against the run and pass. Plays with balance, rarely knocked off his feet and fast both laterally and in a straight line. Plays with a great deal of quickness and explosion. Breaks through blocks to get behind the line of scrimmage and is constantly flying around the action. Tough but also smart and does a nice job anticipating the action. Flows well to the action, strings plays out laterally and wraps up tackling. Gets depth on pass drops, shows tremendous range and covers a lot of ground. Quick to locate the ball. Makes the defensive calls for Michigan State and is known as a leader.

Negatives: Takes too many steps to the action. Never had great production in college. Lacks classic linebacker height. Ran poorly at the combine.

Analysis: Though not garnering the headlines of his teammates, Jones has been a steady playmaker the past two years. He's a three-down defender who can play multiple linebacker positions in a variety of schemes and comes with the ability to quickly break into a starting lineup at the next level.

Might there be legitimate positive vibes about a Jets' administration? Perhaps near unanimity in fan satisfaction?

Even the UDFA signings are solid.

Wes Saxton will make the roster, period. He can really play. If were Cumberland and Sudfeld I would be very nervous.

I also predict that Eskridge will, at minimum, make the practice squad. He was not on a very good Syracuse team but he always stood out as an NFL talent to me.

Saxton appears to be a very viable threat to take a spot from both Sudfeld and Cumberland. Both guys need to step it up this summer or they'll be gone. I like what I read about Howshare. Has the measurables plus the motor and intangibles, playing in D2 was his issue with not going drafted. Could be a PS guy who has a chance to develop.
