Worst overall pick of the draft?

Mine is a runaway with the pick of Philip Dorsett by the Colts at #28 .

Reason: The Colts have his (better) clone already in T.Y. Hilton, not to mention Andre Johnson, and potential rising star in Donte Moncrief. What does Dorsett bring that these guys already don't? On top of that, he has never been a true #1 WR, which is what you expect out of a 1st rounder. He wasn't even a #1 in high school (teammate Rashad Greene was). In college, it was Stacy Coley. Dorsett got a lot of mileage out of an outstanding 40 time and some nice senior bowl practices.

My first runner-up is the Eagles pick of Nelson Agholar in the middle of round 1.

You kidding me, Chip? I just don't see much difference between Agohlar and Rashad Greene or Stefon Diggs, who both went in the 5th round. Horrible value there while he let true difference makers get snatched up by teams behind him.

I don't know near enough about all the draftees to make a general NFL comment, but in regards to the Jets I think our worst pick was the OL in RD 5.

Of course I hope I'm wrong, but I don't see how anybody can succeed in the NFL if "his heart isn't in it". He's the true definition of a lottery ticket -- 1% chance of ecstasy, but 99% chance of disappointment. . .

Oh, and one more point on Dorsett. For those thinking he will be a special teams ace, think again. He never returned one kick to the house in his 4 year career at Miami. His punt return average was a pathetic 4.9. Again, he got a lot of mileage on his wind sprint time, and some good practice at an all-star game.

Time will tell....but with guys track records of drugs/legal etc....any of the questionable character guys are very up in the air...its 2015..if you have some bad habits or traits..it is VERY tough to curtail and work it out...they are still kids..which makes it even worse..kids don't really change colors in midstream.....

Curtis Martin once said that he hated football. He used it at first to stay out of trouble/survive, then he used it to help put him in position to better people's lives. Anything is possible.

He was a 5th round pick. Not exactly going to hurt the Jets too much if he mails it in. Talent-wise, most evaluators are saying this guy has the ability to start right now, and was a 2-3 round pick before the attitude revelation. I'm not saying a lack of passion about football is a good thing. But maybe this kid has heard the criticism and will want to prove himself. The ability is there. The size is there. He could be a great pickup for the interior line.

I have two tied

Patriots second round pick that wasn't rated as better than a fourth by anyone

Patriots 5th round pick, long snapper from Navy...universally rated a UDFA

Mine would be Dorsett. Colts need to focus on building a wall in front of Luck and a defense. Luck with time is what you want, not more options but less time. Runner up is Winston. I don't trust him.

I think the Colts did us a big favor by snatching Dorsett up because I have a feeling he was our pick at #37 . Devin Smith is the better player though. No competition between the two when it comes to tracking the ball and then going up and getting it.

Mine is Leonard Williams going to the Jets. This guy is a complete joke of a player. A carbon clone to Vernon Gholston. The Jets blew it again. Same old Jets.

I guess this is just a failed attempt at humor. Here is your opinion on Williams on page one of his draft thread.

This is NOT a bad pick. He was widely considered the best player in the draft. Like I posted last night, the Jets pick turned out to be what GOOD problem do you want to have? OT, WR, and of course DT were those areas where the Jets were already looking pretty good.

Now, it makes me wonder if Wilkerson becomes trade bait, but I would personally love Bowles playing almost strictly 4-3 utilizing Sheldon, MO, and Williams.

This pick makes us great at the point of attack. The Jets were not going to get run on very much anyway and this pick pretty much insures it.

Going forward, I will love to see the Jets blitzing. Who in the hell can you double team now?

I think Smith is the more complete player today. I could stand the stupid Hill comparisons. SMITH already knows how to switch gears, dig his routes, and come back for the automatic 6 to 8 yard ins. Teams will always over play his deep ball and when they don't he will burn them and when they do he runs the full passing tree and will burn them for some easy ones.

One thing on Dorsett though is he has a higher ceiling. He does everything a little faster than Smith. Co I ts are gambling he will evolve into a better Smith with NFL coaching. Smith already has a bunch of the little things down. I think Jets fans will be surprised at how good smith is.

Come on. Even as somone who felt the pick was redundant this is a bit of a Reach. We shall she. Everything's looks like an elite talent but we will see.
