"As far as the gameballs are concerned it is well known around the league that after the Patriots' gameballs are checked by the officials and brought out for game usage the ballboys for the patriots will let out some air with a ball needle because their quarterback likes a smaller football so he can grip it better"

It looks AWFUL that Brady was the guy who petitioned for the rules change in 2006, and then used the greater team control of game balls to doctor them.
Basically, he set up the league to give them the opportunity to cheat.

Part of me says the league will protect the Pats, and Roger will have his buddy's back. But if they allow this to go without punishment, 31 owners will stage a revolt. It could cost him his job.

There is a specific league rule about the footballs not leaving the Officials Locker Room without the express permission of the officials. But these balls had vanished at one point. Walt Anderson, who worked the game, "uncharacteristically used an expletive when the game balls could not be located."
This all leads into the inner-locking bathroom between the Officials' Locker Room and the field, along the tunnel. This is where McNally went, with the balls, on his way to the field.

There's no need. Everyone outside of New England already knows those titles were ill-gained. There is no need to strip them. They're already stripped in public opinion by any reasonable football fan.

In the eyes of the NFL is this worse than bounty gate?
To me it should be.
One is possibly injuring players although within the the course of the game,playing by the rules.
The other is intentionally getting an advantage over an opponent,outside the rules. Cheating. The kicker is it's this organizations 2nd infraction. The penalty needs to be severe so that this organization and anyone who works for it knows not even come close to breaking the rules.
Start by imposing some of the penalties the Saints got and work from there. Anything less and Goodell should be unemployed.

If its a worse infraction ...... then penalties have to be greater than those imposed on the Saints .....
New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton was suspended for one year, the team lost its Second round draft pick in 2012 and 2013 and had to pay $500,000 as a result of the NFL's bounty investigation.
Defensive coordinator Gregg Williams, who orchestrated the program, has been suspended from the NFL indefinitely.
Saints General Manager Mickey Loomis got an eight-game suspension.
Saints assistant head coach Joe Vitt was also suspended without pay for the first six games of the 2012 season.
