2 of the 10 were drafted by the NY Jets ....

Jarvis Harrison, OG, New York Jets
Drafted out of Texas A&M in Round 5, No. 152 overall

Part of a great Jets draft class, Harrison is an athletic, strong, wide-bodied player who can really move around. Some -- like the AFC scouting director quoted in his draft profile on NFL.com -- are worried about his work ethic, but I think his problem is that he doesn't realize how good he can be. I couldn't believe how well he blocks people. If his mind is straight, he can be a long-time starter for New York -- beginning in 2015.

Bryce Petty, QB, New York Jets
Drafted out of Baylor in Round 4, No. 103 overall

Petty was one of the most talked-about players in the draft. Some observers questioned whether the quarterback would succeed in the NFL, while others raved about his athletic ability, arm strength and intelligence. Petty played hurt for much of 2014, but he showed what he could do in the Cotton Bowl against Michigan State, racking up 550 yards and posting a 71 percent completion rate. He's got tons of talent. He needs to improve on some things -- he was sacked 22 times last season, and he needs to get more air under the ball for deep throws -- but he'll work on that. He's got a great chance to succeed in New York, should he find himself on the field -- especially with Chan Gailey, who is a patient and effective teacher, as the Jets' offensive coordinator.

It should be noted that Michigan State had the # 1 CB in the draft, Trae Waynes, taken 11th overall by the Vikings.

I don't know how often they threw at Waynes that day, I'd have to see the game tape, but 550 Yards is a lot of yards and you have to figure they went after everyone that day.

Well, if he threw it at several receivers and spread the ball around a lot, it might make people rethink the critique that he's a system QB who, like Mariota, didn't have to make many reads and progressions in his college system.

Does anyone out there that listens to Sirius NFL have a tough time listening to 82 year old Gil Brant ? He almost sounds like he's drunk on the air the way he forgets his sentences and slurs his words. God bless him for still working @ his age, but his last football years were in the late 80's with the Cowboys.

Love listening to Gil Brandt. Yeah he does slur his words sometimes but he has so many interesting things to say and yes has a few senior moments. Cy don't we all :)

Jarvis Harrison could be starting on this o-line this year.

Wouldn't that be something? A fifth round draft pick.

I LOVE listening to "the godfather".

If you can get past his peech inspediment, he has a phenomenal memory and very keen insight on all that is NFL. For his age (hell, for any age) his football brain is still firing on all cylinders.

I have exactly the same feeling. I'm interested in what he has to say but I find it very hard to listen to him.

And don't forget those wonderful stud years having the unbelievably awesome VLADIMIR DUCASSE at Guard. That guy sucked so bad, if it weren't for Vernon Gholston, Ducasse would be hands down the very worst pick Tanny ever made.
