Suggested Wilkerson trade...

Different front office making those decisions now.( Mckenize loves his draft choices) The Raiders should have like 80 Million to play with in Fa next year(that's not counting 20 million they could roll over).

They can see if the Jets will franchise Wilkerson for 14 million, when they have a way cheaper option in leonard Williams. Wilkerson hits free agency it might not cost them anything.

I would offer the jets, the Raiders second round pick( going to be expensive to sign) in exchange for Muhammad Wilkerson. That isn't good enough than move on. let's see if they get a better offer.
Question?

When a team sucks for more than a decade like your Raiders and is projected by ALL to finish in the toilet of the West again and plays in an empty broken down dump in a slum city how is it a plus that their halfwit owner and incompetent GM didn't spend anything to improve and have 90 gazillion dollars in unspent cap left over?

Sounds to everyone but you that Reggie Macidzik should be fired as quickly as possible

Maybe Mark the Retard Davis should hire Wolf and Casserly as consultants and get his stupid ass out of the room when any football decisions are made

The Raiders are building through the draft- had another very nice haul this year, after nailing last year draft( they spent a lot this offseason in Fa upgrading a lot of positions on both sides of the ball, and a large chunk of that money will go toward eventually taking care of their young players.

The Raiders are probably a year away still from seriously challenging for the Afc West. There offense is going to be very good this year. They have so many weapons on offense now, and a lot of versatility to do a lot of different things on offense- there first four Wr can play any position whether it's outside or inside. ( So many different combinations on offense they can use- whether it's 2 Te's , 2wr's and a Rb , 3 Wr sets, 1 Te , and a Rb , 2 Wr sets, Te, H- back and a Rb . The Raiders can play real fast on offfense( no huddle) or slow it down. it really depend on the team and the situation what they do.

This is all speculation right now ,but it looks like The Raiders will be playing a Seattle type of defense( Fa , and draft picks tend to confirm this(. It's going to be very hard to run on the Raiders defense. The question will be how their very young cb group holds up in coverage- a lot of very big Cb who fit what Seattle asks their cb's to do. How that group does this year will have a big say just how good the Raiders are this year

The Raiders are extremely deep at lb and have added a lot of lb that can cover.
The Raiders aren't that far off from contending for a playoff spot as they have a lot of big talent on both sides of the ball now.

Like every year with good old 90210 for the last 10, the Raiders had a great haul and are year away

Every April to the end of September

Then the annual disappearance until the following Spring.....like a grizzly bear

They would move on.

The Jets are under no pressure to move him right now. They hold all the cards. He still has a year left on his deal, and two years that could be tagged.

Why would they trade him for a high second?

Somehow I think most of the posters here, do not truly understand Wilkerson's trade value !!
Firstly..., Why would you trade him until after the season is over.

Secondly,... if we franchise him after the 2015 season and someone signs him ...we get TWO First Round picks for him !!

So why would we be so idiotic as to give him up for a second round pick.

Excellent points providing Mo goes with the program and doesn't become a locker room cancer. I wish he would sign for a reasonable deal in the 11-12 range but I guess he wants more..

Jmo After this year M Wilkerson is unrestricted Fa. Yes the Jets could hit him with the franchise tag for about 14 million. As soon as Muhammad Wilkerson signs that franchise tag , the Jets can no longer trade him.( locked into that 14 million dollar).

you can always find money to pay that but why would the Jets put so much money in one position, when they have a much cheaper option Leonard Williams for the next five.( hurts you in other position having so much money tied into one position).

JMO I would be surprised if Muhammad Wilkerson wasn't moved before this season. Muhammad Wilkerson tried to be anti Revis with his contract, and seen how far that got him. You can bet he's going to miss a good chunk of training camp holding out.( those players tend to get injured missing that much training camp) He misses six games due to injury- do you see the Jets paying him fourteen million coming off in juried plague year. Let's see what they eventually get for him.

I think you guys could be an 8 win team. KC and Denver's olines have been completely deconstructed and the Chargers are a team that plays up and down to opponents. If you start taking care of home field, McKenzie has the ship in the right direction. I agree you aren't being built like the same old raiders. Mckenzie has done well, IMO.

This year buys you at least one season to see what you have in Williams before you make a decision on Wilkerson. I'm not saying that is what they are doing, but it is something they could do.

all the more reason to give us a 1 and 3 for mo...............you have your franchise qb a stud wr and like you said alot of money for fa to fill your other holes you don't really need those draft picks esp if you are getting a top 10 at least more like a top 5 player at his position.

It really is a win-win for both sides.

Reggie Mckenize will never give up a first and a third for a player. The Problem drafting well is eventually those players get real expensive. ( a lot of that cash they have will go toward taking care of their own- as much as they can). You need to replenish your roster with cheaper draft picks, to replace the guys you will lose in free agency.( draft will always be the bloodlines of any good organization) Also they might need that high draft next year to address the left tackle position. ( Donald Penn getting up their in age)

Jmo while Muhammad Wilkerson is very good player, the cost to acquire( trade+ big salary he wants) isn't worth messing up the long term salary structure of the team. Jmo If I was making the call I would target a Vin Curry(doesn't fit Eagles 3-4 defense) instead in a trade. He would only cost a fourth rounder , and would be a better fit in the Raider defense than Wilkerson.

Then it's irrelevant. A trade benefits neither team. Jets keep Mo, or deal him to another team more willing to give up the picks.

Let run a couple of scenario's at you. Do you think M Wilkerson going to hold out from training camp? Do players who miss training camp are they more suspectible to injury? Now Wilkerson misses a couple of game to injury, due to him missing camp, and has a subpar year.
Do you really think the Jets are going to pay him fourteen million( franchise tag) under that scenario when they have a way cheaper option already on the roster. Also Jets franchise tag him and he signs that contract than the Jets can't trade him .( are locked in at 14 million. jets can trade him as long he doesn't sign the franchise tag right away. Case in point Raiders were all prepared to trade c Woodson under the franchise tag again. He blew up those plans when he signed that contract right away. ( couldn't be traded). goes on to miss a lot of games due to injury , and leaves to the Packers in free agency in Fa.( no way we're they going to tag him off of that year)

now if Wilkerson has sub par season due to holdout, will the Browns head coach still be all over him when he hits free agency.

Jmo I think M Wilkerson will be traded this year before the season starts. They might have to take the best offer they get. As Jet fan you hope that would be a first rounder( fair compensation) but should be prepared to take a little less
