Please stop referring the team as the new jersey jets it really is annoying.
LOL -- I can't believe you actually read his post carefully enough to catch that.
I can skim them, but that's about all I can do before my eyes start to bleed . . .

part of what a admin does.
In March Jets dropped to 50-1 Look at us now? We shall see ODDS TO WIN SUPER BOWL 50 Seattle Seahawks 6/1 Green Bay Packers 7/1 Indianapolis Colts 8/1 New England Patriots 9/1 Dallas Cowboys 10/1 Denver Broncos 12/1 Philadelphia Eagles 18/1 Arizona Cardinals 25/1 Baltimore Ravens 25/1 Pittsburgh Steelers 25/1 New York Giants 28/1 Buffalo Bills 33/1 Cincinnati Bengals 33/1 Detroit Lions 33/1 Kansas City Chiefs 33/1 Miami Dolphins 33/1 New York Jets 33/1 San Francisco 49ers 33/1 St. Louis Rams 33/1 Atlanta Falcons 40/1 Carolina Panthers 40/1 New Orleans Saints 40/1 Chicago Bears 50/1 Houston Texans 50/1 Minnesota Vikings 50/1 San Diego Chargers 50/1 Oakland Raiders 66/1 Cleveland Browns 75/1 Tampa Bay Buccaneers 100/1 Washington Redskins 100/1 Jacksonville Jaguars 200/1 Tennessee Titans 200/1[/QUOTE said:What is encouraging to me if you believe in Vegas oddsmakers, is the Jets have the same or better odds than teams with "franchise QBs" like Ryan, Brees, Rivers, Newton, Stafford, etc. What that tells me is one of three things: 1) either we have surrounded Geno with a tremendous supporting cast, and he can be average at worst; 2) they don't think Geno is that bad; or 3) Fitz will be average enough to make Jets a playoff team. I honestly think the real linchpin to this season is whether Bowles is ready for head coaching.
Brokedown Palmer and Stanton gave the Cards a 9-1 start to the season.. If Chan gets Geno to do that I'll vote for him for the HOF..LOL However they Jets went 9-2 with Sanchez in 2010 so hope is still alive..

Been dealing with the stupid New Jersey Jets thing for some time with this particular poster. It's annoying as all hell.
I tend to skim most of his post because of the length but that one was almost a reasonable enough size to read lolLOL -- I can't believe you actually read his post carefully enough to catch that.

Not only did NostraHYATT™ get that part right, or nearly so, but accurately predicted the Packers W/L record, Division W/L record, and each of the playoff opponents and the outcomes of the Eagles, Falcons, & CHI games - BEFORE the season began.
Getting the Packers record correct is cause enough to thump a little chest, but predicting the finishes in all 8 divisions and the outcomes of each of THEIR respective playoff runs, is more than just "luck".
It's science and great analysis.
Typically teams that sign a ton of free agents don't do too well. Just ask Miami. That plus new regime, plus Geno equals middle of the pack finish.
And Yes, Cy I am a pessimist, LOL!

Of course, last year the pats rebuilt their defense through free agency, as did the Broncos, and they did okay last year...

Yeah, but those were both 12 / 13 win teams from the year before looking to address specific weaknesses -- a little bit different from a 4 win team trying to rebuild.
Good point.
Also note we reward free agents but not our own homegrown talent...that is usually how it all fall aparts. We are heading down that path. That's justified.
Even the pats make sure to pay Brady, Gronk, McCourty...their own. At least while they are in their prime. Law, Milloy, Seymours, Welker, Wilfork, etc were given walking papers as they were older. Not us. Our 25 year old cant get a deal done...but we'll over pay a 30+ year old CB (Cro). That worries me too.
Hoping jets get the MO deal done to get the last thorn off the rose off season we've had.
