Jets Worked Out Veteran WR Greg Little

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the New York Jets recently brought in free agent WR Greg Little for a workout.

The Jets have several receivers on their roster ahead of training camp, but it looks like they’re at least willing to consider some external options.

Little, 26, is a former second round pick of the Browns back in 2011. He spent three season in Cleveland before he was cut and later claimed off of waivers by the Raiders.

The Bengals would later take a shot on him in October of last year. However, he was cut loose by Cincinnati before the start of free agency.

In 2014, Little appeared in six games and recorded six receptions for 69 yards receiving.

Not a bad option. Surprised he's a available.

What does everyone think of Kerley? Is he a shoe in for a spot? I think he's being placed on notice.

Maybe Marhall's replacement. :stoned-smiley:

Just kidding
Actually thats the first thought that crossed my mind, does the Jets F.O. know something about Marshall?

It would really suck if we lost Richardson and Marshall for the first month of the season.

Actually, there's a damn good chance that Devin Smith will steal time in the slot from Kerley. Devin Smith is supposed to be the guy that going to burn defenses via pure speed and change of pace over the course of a game from Decker and Marshall.

Granted, the Jets have never had the kind of talent at the WR spots to see if Kerley could be that burner guy. But now they have it and they also brought in Devin Smith. Kerley and Devin Smith should be very interesting to watch in TC. I anticipate a pretty hotly contested TC for the slot.

Don't know how we could have missed this yesterday on such a slow news day, but Bengals signed Greg Little.
