Too late, hammy is already pulled and he has turf toe, two injuries that only get better from sitting.

Also, I dont believe the contract crap. Both sides admitted to exchanging contract proposals last week and that they were in negotiations. Mac even said earlier this week he thinks something will get done.

So you're telling me after waiting all year for the jets to come to the table, when they finally do, wilkerson is going to fake an injury or milk it?

I'm glad you guys think Wilkerson would spit in the jets face when they finally do what his agent and him have been begging for for 2 years...I think he's a better man than that.

It's not spitting in the Jets face, it's his only leverage without the black eye of holding out.
I think you went a little extreme there.

You beg a team for two years to come to the table then fake an injury when they finally do? Yes, I consider that spitting in their face.

Like asking your boss for 2+ years for a raise, when he sets up a meeting with you to discuss a raise, you wait till then to start doing shitty work. I consider that spitting in the company's face. I apologize if you consider it extreme, but I would immediately cease negotiations as soon as that happened...I'm sure the jets would too.

Perhaps a "gentle kick in the nuts" would be more appropriate way to describe what he'd be doing to the team? :)

That's not the same. He can risk injury to himself which he doesn't want to do now that he finally has the team coming to the table for negotiations.

Not saying that's what he's doing but very well could be.

And exactly where in my post did I say Wilkerson was faking an injury for contract purposes? You should really at least read the posts before you get all snarky with the "You guys" stuff. Who ever "you guy" are.

Well, flgreen, this was a 3 way conversation with you, mykcuz, and myself...that started with your post, which was quoted by mykcuz. So I quoted your post, first discussed your point, than discussed his point, highlighted below.

Well 55, no, no it didn't start with my post. Actually , it started with Mykcuz saying "Ehh,I believe in practice. Teammates have to get used to each other, players need to build stamina."

I agreed that practice is important, for the reasons stated above. I made the observation that players frequently get injured when they have hold outs. Period.

And no you didn't address my quote, you chose to use my quote out of context, and be snarky with a disagreement you were having with Mykcuz.

Whether you were attacking a person, or the comment, is kind of a moot point.

I ask you again, where in my comment did I say that Wilkerson was not injured.

Doesn't really bother me that much. Its what happens when people interact, conversation takes on a life of its own and next thing you know a thread gets derailed. Once practice starts, we will be back on track. And then after it ends tonight, who knows where it ends up.

Someone will get us back on track again tomorrow. It is what it is.

The Jet rep I spoke to about domestic game pass looked out her window and reported that the boys are out on the field in pads for today's practice.
