I'm torn between "Idzik stays and Rex is fired" and they both get fired.
I'm beginning to think Woody wants to keep Idzik, but I don't know if he has the balls to do it. He may yield to the perceived fan pressure to fire Idzik, which would be a mistake. Woody should only fire Idzik if he feels it's the right football move, not because a segment of the fans want it to happen.

i voted rex & idzik both get fired..
that's what i both think & want to happen..
i mean rex is gonna get the the axe, that's pretty much a no brainer..
& even woody must see you can't let john "the lame duck" idzik hire a head coach.. right??

I chose Rex stays Idzik gets fired (I ignored the directions and went with my heart):wtf:. Think long and hard Woody. Rex is a highly respected football guy and all Woody has done is bring in a guy(s) who has no GM experience, sucks at drafting, and can't handle the media. Jimmy Carter of football, nice guy, lousy GM.

Reality is Rex is leaving and going to the Falcons and will have a ring in 1-2 years. AND, he will convince Smith to stay on as co-head coach to run the "O". That's right ..smoke that!

Woody gives Idzik a chance to pick his own coach. Firing Idzik after two yrs on the job makes Jets look dysfunctional. Unfortunately Woody seems to be all about sizzle not substance, but even he must realize no decent GM candidate is going to take the Jets seriously if he fires Idzik so soon.
Do you trust Idzik to steer us back on the right path? that is the question that woody must ask himself. in my opinion, who cares about how dysfunctional we look. Keep in mind that all year there have been reports that idzik was going to fire rex all along so that can't be good either. Any way you look at this head coach/gm dynamic, we are dysfunctional.

Frankly I'd rather have Idzik than most of the halfwitted choices fans on message boards are calling for
Cowher, Pollian, Parcells, Dungy, Tannenbaum, Mangini and the like.
Plus, it would stick it to the billboard/towel media wh0re scammers

I honestly think woody is going to give idzick more time but rex was gone week 6.

I voted they both get canned.
I know nobody wants to start all over, but Idzik has failed, and it's just time for Rex to go. It's a major mistake letting Idzik hire the next HC. If he isn't fired this year, he'll most likely be gone next year. Then your right back at square one. Trying to hire a GM with a HC in place.
