Would you trade Sheldon Richardson to an NFC team, other than the Giants, for a 2016 2nd round pick right now?

Why other than the Giants? If you want to trade him you exclude no team, if they are going to outbid the rest, especially outside the division

We own Sheldon for 4 more years. We need to give him the help he needs to mature not jump ship for a second rounder.

no.. but I don't see that being an issue because i don't see anyone offering..

he's stud in his prime who also is a man child idiot!!

he's still got what, three years left on his rookie deal?? keep him & franchise him if he starts acting like a grown man & decide what to do from there..

that said, I agree with hammer that no hometown discount will be given for all of the "support" the jets organization has/will show him..

No, no and no. First of all you don't sell low. That's investing 101. And the Jets do have an investment in Richardson. Secondly, he's one of the team's best players.

What the Jets will do is let the year and his punishment play out. See if he matures a little bit. Only when he is due for his next contract would they consider trading him. Even then (2 years away), if he grows up and gets his act together you keep him and his formidable talent.

I'm not sure anyone offers it. But if they did, I would seriously consider taking it.

My preference would be to see how good LW is before making the call.

Meat Head brings no value to the table after being suspended 4 games, then calling out Pigs in Ferguson, then getting busted doing 143 MPH in his Bentley.

Let all that play out and increase his value back to where it almost was, then trade him.

I doubt very seriously he will re-sign with the Jets, so trade him before he hits free agency.

No way.

All is forgiven as far as I'm concerned.

Serve your suspension and then get out there and make some plays, Son.

He's a1st round rookie of the year, top tier de. Support him and show the young jets what it means to be in the jet family. Either he learns his lesson, or you trade him next year for 2 picks

I wouldn't trade him at this point.

Neither would I. I haven't completely closed the book on him yet, but if Williams impresses, and Wilkerson and Harrison continue their fine play, Richardson should be the odd man out. No way I'm paying Richardson, too, with all the baggage he's got. This incident is nothing to sniff at. He was extremely reckless, and obviously doesn't care if the entire world knows he burns blunts pretty regularly.

He's too valuable to trade. Let him take urine samples, manatory mentoring and keep him as long as possible.

Would not trade him. Won't cost us much for the remainder of his contract ... I think he forfeited a bit of it.

He gets the knucklehead of the year award.

Plan A needs to be help him get his act together - and reap the benefits of what he can do on the field.

If team management decides that he is not going to get his act together off the field, then he may need to be moved before his contract expires.

But, have to try Plan A first...

Breath people. Sheldon has been great so far and there is no questioning that. He has had a hiccup here. Let's give him a chance to correct his behavior before we shit a great player out of town for peanuts.

He is young. This can be fixed.

Absolutely agree

Want to get rid of a player so bad?

Start with a really, really bad one, for instance, one ranked as the worst at his position in 2013 and again in 2014.

Then , move up the ladder until you reach your best defensive lineman

As much as I hate it, you got to give guys a chance to develop. Especially when you have no other options.
