or amaro or pryor or IK and who knows what dozier will become

Just making sure I have the names right for rays of hope:

Dexter McDougle
Shaq Evans
Amaro (currently running with the 3rd string)
Pryor
IK
Dozier (currently our 3rd center)

...of these names, how many do you think has the potential to be a pro bowler? I mean, we're talking 20 draft picks, from 20 names, we're down to these 6 "rays of hope." Which one of these 6 get their names on the back of a jersey you will purchase one day...or even see in the stands when you go to a game...

I mean with 20 picks, I'm sure we found 1 corner stone player...right?

the question wasn't pro bowler. my post was in response to the comment that we should just cut all idzik players. that would be silly.

now the author of that post has said he was being sarcastic, and i'll take him at his word on that. so to me, the subject is closed. i've moved on from idzik a long time ago. i care about the players on the roster today, and the current coaching staff and front office

Well, I'm done defending Milliner. This latest setback is certainly giving credence to the belief that Dee is injury prone. You can call it bad luck for only so long. Sad part is, I still think he's a talented player who could easily be starting if he just stayed healthy.

Put him on IR as another poster suggested and then trade him at the end of the season...

Just cut him and be done with it. The guy isn't going to ever amount to anything. He cant even get out of camp healthy....... no one is going to trade for him..... He is a bust.......but not as bad as the Browns double whammy of Gilbert and Manziel (in the same draft) WOW.....

Milliner nearly completed practice yesterday after he suffered an injury that required surgery. Soft is one thing he's not. #JetsCamp #Jets

Too much potential to cut him, put him on the 8 game PUP and let him get healthy. He's only 23 years old. I hope he comes back and makes a few Jet fans eat crow !

i'm not quick to label a young pro athlete "injury prone" but this kid seems to rupture any & all parts of his body whenever he competes..

Both shoulders have been cut on, an Achilles, a high ankle sprain, and now a wrist tendon. This guy can't get out of his own way.

Hate to tell you what you do not want to hear, but this guy is a china doll. Another case of Jon McGraw. The guy has potential but he cannot stay healthy and I believe it is time for the Jets to cut bait with this walking injury. If your constantly on the injured list, what good are you to your team?

This guy got paid the big bucks as rookies go these days and he has clearly not been worth it. Number 9 overall and constantly out? That's a busted pick.

As much as people want to cut bait with Dee, i wouldnt do it just yet. Have him on the roster this year. A wrist injury isnt as bad as a torn achilles or a knee injury.

I'd rather him sit out now and provide depth when he comes back. Quite possibly IMHO a position change would be a good thought as the Pats did with McCourty.

If he is lost for the year how ever, then you cut bait. But IMHO it would illogical to be trigger happy and release him. Heck, what if he comes back and plays excellent. Since we're over stocked at the position atleast we can get something for him as compensation such as a 4rth or 5th rounder in the 2016 off season.

Surgery number 7 since he was drafted and had shoulder surgery. ..

I don't believe there would be any benefit to cutting him right this very second. I advocate getting rid of the guy, but not until the end of the season. 3 years is a normal timeframe for most players to find out what they are all about anyway.

With Dee, the jury is in.

Dee Milliner gave us basically ONE good game in 3 seasons as a Jet that saw him play barely more than one season altogether (He'll come back this season and we'll probably get a few games out of him before he goes on IR again). He's as fragile as a newborn baby. Very clearly not cut out for contact sports.

Some good advice for Dee Milliner:

Go into track and field. That way you can display your wonderful athletic skills and it is NOT a contact sport.
