Couldn't the Jets have suspended IK without pay for conduct detrimental to the team like the Bucs did to Keyshawn? that way he could not have been picked up by the Bills.

but i think the better message was to cut the guy immediately. don't worry if someone picks him up. he lost his right to play for the jets, so don't let the door hit him in the arse on the way out. bowles did the right thing cutting him immediately

so what exactly did your comment about marshall mean? he has nothing whatsoever to do with this, other than having recently developed a connection with geno. so why did you drag him into the conversation, asking if mr marshall couldn't stop this and then mention how marshall is still talking about cutler. you even said marshall should have held geno in check, like that's his job or something.

so if you weren't blaming marshall, why exactly did you make those comments?

The post above my original post said IK would have to watch his kness and then mentioned Mr. Marshall. I then said where was his boy Marshall when all this was happening..in the locker room watching his guy get into or was he somewhere talking again about Jay Cutler and how he was the only one that held him responsible...it was tongue in cheek, and I never said it was Marshall's fault. is that good enough for you Hobs?

There's a part of me that thinks Rex took some glory in making this move being he probably still feels jilted from being let go.

I'm curious how the Jets players will respond to questions about IK who took out their QB and is now going to play for your rival a day later.

The Jet players have been responding and their responses may have played a part in IK getting another job. When Calvin Pace was asked he responded by saying a man is out of a job...well not anymore.

I don't see how this is in any way indicative of a Jets circus, despite media attempts to portray it as such.

When other teams have problems with players on their teams, rarely do I ever see the "circus" rhetoric. When anything happens with the Jets, the media rehashes all the supposedly embarrassing moments in Jets history. Cimini, Mehta, the Post, you name it. This was an opportunity for our media jackals to bash the team and change the narrative from "Geno will have a short leash based on past performance" to "the Jets are in big trouble without Geno". What changed overnight?

But once he does that, it may have even a more negative impact on Smith. He's better off leaving it alone, and if the league wants to step in so be it. At the end of the day, if he did in fact provoke IK then he looks like a crybaby for getting punched out. I'm not condoning IK's actions, but if you think Geno is getting a bad shake by the media now, just wait if he presses charges.

And it's worth repeating that IK Enemkpali was a risk before the fight. Several teams had him off their '14 draft board b/c of anger issues.
