Based on this thread, it sounds like the sky is falling. Let's put this in perspective guys, this is the first preseason game. We have a new QB that has had basically one practice with the starters and a walk through. And the defense is not going to show anything in preseason until maybe the third week.
Fitzpatrick is what he is, an average NFL QB, and an above average to good backup. He is capable of maybe winning 8 or 9 games. But, it is going to take time for this team to gel. They just had one of the most embarrassing weeks in franchise history. Did you really expect them to play well? And we are not at full strength on defense either.
The defense will be championship caliber, but it will take some time. The offense is going to be a work in progress all year with Fitzpatrick. If they pull off a trade, great. I wouldn't expect it. The Jets will definitely try to take a QB next year...that's a foregone conclusion at this point.
We need to relax and give Bowles time to build this team the way he wants, and build the culture he wants.

Bowles and Mac need more time...but Bowles teams better start showing up, because lack of effort isn't okay....
