Another bright spot last night was Rontez Miles, and not just the fumble recovery TD, though that was huge. I felt like he was active on defense and bringing the pain. This is a real positive development having lost Antonio Allen, because we needed another Safety to step up for depth. He looks like a good special teams player too.

Miles will probably win a spot because of the Allen injury. I'm thinking the safeties will be Gilchrist, Pryor, Jarrett, and Miles.

The 1's were mostly blah, but showed some life on the last drive, and scored a TD. Petty looked great. All in all a fun watch

Reading this or any Jets forum is not usually an accurate assessment of the games. Many overreact to every play and then the sky is falling. Lots of penalties for sure. There were some good things though.

I was at the game, it was pretty boring for an hour or so, but the weather was amazing. Towards the end of the half the offense started getting exciting and the stadium was getting loud. Everyone there was into petty abs seeing what he's got.

This play happened exactly after Eskridge was injured. Miles was in the right place at the right time. What would we be saying if Eskridge picked up that fumble?
