we won't truly know how and where we get users from until football really starts. I think we should at least give it this year and elias and i will go back and look at the analytics and see what worked and what did not.

keep in mind we were only up for the last 2-3 games in the season last year,so we have alot of tinkering and adjustments to be made once we have a larger sample size.

hope for now that satisfies you and you give us chance to find what works and what doesn't.

Thanks! I think we came up with a reasonable solution to all this. It was a while ago, wonder if you remember. Maybe you can help me post later tonight if you have time.

well this thread doesn't seem to have any actual discussion on RGIII (probably because opinions were presented in the prior RGIII thread). so while i understand why you want to increase new topic counts to try and drive new posters, in this case, there nothing new presented in the OP. it was just cimini's input on the same topic we discussed at length the other day.

the problem with trading for an RG3 is you're then 'stuck' with him longer than it takes to figure out he isn't NFL starter material. On top of that is whatever compensation you paid for him. It's a lose lose scenario for me.

Well, if he's released someone's going to take a look at him. I'd trust gaileys eye. If he thinks it's worth stocking him on the bench with Petty and having Fitz next year, it might not be a bad project.

What I'm hearing is he's un tradable, therefore Washington would release him at some point.

Myself, I could care less, but if this staff thinks he's a better project than geno so be it.

much like smith & tebow he's a polarizing figure who's not very good at playing QB at the NFL level..

a guy with his ego fighting for reps with his college backup??

if we bring griffin in we will richly deserve being labeled "dysfunctional" media whores.. again..

I'm not worried about media labels, I'm worried about winning. This administration has already shown they do too.

I personally could care less about rg3.

College backups don't matter, that just means rg3 was older.

mac & bolwes are calling the shots & they seem to be all about substance over style.. so yes, we are in lock step as far as that goes..

i live in maryland & the fall from grace this kid has taken (from adoring redskins fans, adoring local media, teammates & two separate coaching staffs) still in his rookie contract has been epic fail!!

I am by no means up to date on rg3, what I know is he's had injuries, which by themselves can require more time to get back to speed. He's also been cocky, but until getting injured, he backed it up.

Also the coaching staff was completely dysfunctional.

Could it be possible that wroth time to heal, a new team, and altering his approach, that he could utilize his talent?

griffin had impressive straight line speed as a rookie but no wiggle.. that's why he got/gets sacked/rocked the way he does..

from a physical talent level he's already a shell of himself in his mid 20's due to keeping himself in harm's way without the ability to fall back on being a traditional QB much less the leader of men..

IMHO, fail..

I would be against RG3. We already have a leaderless QB on the team. Don't need or want another one. Give me Fitz, Flynn and Petty for two years and hopefully Petty takes over. I could easily change my mind on both veterans and Petty, but right now we have some stability which we haven't for many years.

potentially being on the hook for 16 million next year based on the health of a guy that can't stay healthy & his game remains in free fall??

i would cut bait & take the salary cap hit.. hell, at this point they must owe gruden more guaranteed money than griffin..

IMO, much like our young geno, if griffin resurrects his career it won't be with the team that drafted him..
