Tough decision though, the kid is super mobile.
Starting to think Geno is the 5th best QB on this team.

Gosh I know some people won't like this, but I agree. I know almost nothing about Johnson, but, what I saw out there tonight is Smith, with a brain.
Seems to have a live arm, and is mobile. Same traits that some people love about Smith.
Difference is, Johnson knows when to take the ball down and get some positive yards. Smith runs toward his own end and tries to "keep the play alive". Usually ends badly.

I think it's a good plan.
The guys in front of him, sans Smith, seem to be a very intelligent lot. Not physically talented, but intelligent.
Petty's got the tools, and he seems to be a very smart kid. Scouting reports on him are "Green, but takes coaching well."
Don't want to see him again till next March.
I agree. I love listening to Greg Buttle because he is a true Jet a roots for them whole heartedly

Yea I think he had a good showing and cemented his status as the number 2 until Geno comes in. Can't wait! We are almost there. 9 days away.
After the really bad start two our first two preseason games, I feel much better about this team Brick. We will be solid.
Do you think we cut him upon Genos return?
Yes I think he is gone when Geno returns. If this was all up to me which it is not I would try and trade Geno or IR him. I would keep JJ over Flynn because he adds a dimension Flitz and Flynn don't but I would not be upset with Flynn as the backup.
Seems fair. I still want to see what all the hoopla was about with Geno this camp. Sucks we were deprived of it by ik

I just don't understand the logic of that at all. We need to see Geno in this offense or we are no where at QB.
No logic involved. I never claimed any. I just expressed my FEELINGS on a group of players. I may be wrong. I often am but I have opinions and like to express them.
Who's "we"?
The CS has seen more than enough, and I'll assume that keeps Geno on the roster. But if they think they've got better options (especially to open up a roster spot) then I don't think anything is off-limits . . .
