It depends on who is doing the hiring. Does Idzik survive? If so it will probably somebody like Seattle DC Dan Quinn.

The way this season is trending and the embarrassment that Woody must feel, I think he may decide to totally clean house. Were that to be the case, he probably goes high profile. Someone, like John Harbaugh.

I agree granted Kap is better than we have had in a longtime but I still want that cerebral pocket passer first mentality. I know they say mariotta runs also but I believe he has the brains to become a pocket passer just needs NFL coaching and that is why you hire a offensive minded HC not someone like Quinn who is defensive. Although at this point just about anyone and I mean anyone is better than rex and his coaching staff.

I agree money can but where do you draw the line? I mean is he worth being the highest paid coach by 10 million I don't think he is. I could see him becoming the highest paid coach but to what degree?

I don't think so. I'm not really a big Harbaugh fan. I'm afraid Woody is going to try to make a big splash whit the next hire. He better be right next time

I'd like to see Woody Johnson bring in Scott Pioli as GM and Josh McDaniels as HC. I believe these two guys learned a lot from their first go round and could build a solid winning team for the Jets.

i do not want to go anywhere near McDaniels. His last stint with Denver was awful and he was the one that begged his GM to take Tebow! As for Harbaugh being a developer of talent, maybe you are right, he hasn't developed Kaep but he definitely has a system in place that is effective and tailored around his talents. When 49ers had Smith, it was the same way. He puts his offensive players in position to succeed. The complete opposite of Marty. I feel like he is just too pass happy and that doesn't matter no matter who the Jets are playing.

I agree, i am okay with pioli. McDaniels has no people skills and drove away Marshall and Cutler within the first few months of getting to Denver.

McDaniels was an arrogant Belichich wannabe when he went to Denver. Gettin his butt whooped and crawling back to the Patriots with his tail tucked had to be a humbling and learning experience. Pioli would aquire the talent, McDaniels would just coach.

still not sold on mcdaniels as a coach would rather have pep myself.

Earlier this year I might've argued for Rex but now there is no denying he is done here...although he probably will become a better HC his next go around

Completely agree. I think most people like Rex but after this season it's hard for anyone to make a case that he stays. Woody should clean house completely.

I always liked Rex, but the teflon mentality toward him must end. Were I Woody, I hire a Director of Football Operations to evaluate the operation from top to bottom. To me, before we decide who the HC should be, the entire operation should be reviewed.
