WEEK ONE JETS at METLIFE vs Browns.....lets get it started no sense waiting

OK fellow Jet fans....stuff real now....team is what it is for now. They have been inproving in preseason each game.

Lets hear any concerns; confidences, etc for this first game for Jets vs Browns

My observations/feelings

Defensively...don't want to get over confident but seems like a good matchup....biggest concern is the intermediate pass coverage; I. e LBS in coverage vs their RB and TE....McNown is not too mobile so they should be able to pin their ears back a bit.

Offensively.....I think , obviously will start with running game and work in the intermediate stuff and build off the Giant pre season game. I think we are in good shape....as long..as the old agage we take care of the ball. I think we will win 24 - 13

It's all about moving the ball for us. Both teams will have some success on defense , but which offense can squeeze out points. The team with more rushing yards should win this one

I'm confident of a win. Will be good to see how the D performs in their first full showing.

With Ivory & Marshall I'm hoping we have too much power for them...

Prediction... 27 - 10 win for Gang Green.

I think there will be or I'm at least hoping for a surprise from the defense. Much like season one with Rex and his opening game vs Texans. I knew our defense was going to be good but how they performed in that game was insane. I didn't expect the aggressive play and attacking style at all.

Bowles has been vanilla in the pre season. I think he is going to lets the sharks fed in front of our home crowd.

I heard an interview with Bart Scott the other day and he is expecting the same. He even said that Bowles wants this defense to take teams out to deep water and drown them. He expects them to be very aggressive.

J-E-T-S Jets Jets Jets! Yes sir I definitely expect a win week 1 and that will be a nice way to get the ball rollin. D should run havoc and cause all kinds of noise. I see about 4 sacks and 3-4 TOs and maybe even a defensive TD. Our offense probably won't produce much because of this but they will play a sound and non-turnover type game to assist in the W. I say 27-6 and maybe even a 33-6 type of score. I'm hoping B. Marshall scores at least one TD for me with about 5 catches for 70 or more. He is my #1 WR in my fantasy league and the Jets D is my primary defense. The next week against the hated Pats, it will get real and pretty sticky but we'll approach that bridge when we get to it.

We should be able to blow them out of the water fellas. Lets not think for a second that the Browns are superior than us by any means. Obviously take them seriously and whip their ass!

In every category we are far better than them. Hell, even Fitz is more reliable than McCown.

45-3, Let's let the Colts know whats coming! AMPED!

This is a team we should beat. Their receivers Hartline and Bowe should be one of the easiest assignments of the year being they're just big but not quick or fast. Perfect fit for Revis and Cro. Barnidge (TE) should be coverable. The Browns do have a good offensive line and we will see how much we miss Richardson when they try to pound Crowell at us.

On offense we should be able to move the ball. No one other than Kruger scares me with regards to a pass rush and they are staring a rookie (Shelton) at NT, albeit a first rounder. Haden and Williams are a formidable tandem at CB so our slot guy (Kurley or Decker) should have a good day.

The real question is will the crowd be up for this one? Do we get a legit Jets chant going? Or is it a cheap imatation like the last few years?

It doesn't seem like Ed will be back but I really hope we have a suitable replacement.

I think Ed might be there. Not sure but his people have been hyping his return for a while. The jets fans will be there pumped!

I logged on this morning to talk about the upcoming opener and saw the breaking Pats expose on ESPN; totally sidetracked me and forgot what I wanted to say.

Here goes anyway:

In deference to Pettine, who I think is a pretty good coach I doubt this will be a blowout. However I'm confident we can win this game, and expect it to be in the 20-10 range. Expect to see an emphasis in the run game and controlled passing game with short to medium range passes. I also don't think that Bowles unleashes the dogs in this game, but saves the truly exotic stuff for Andrew Luck and the Colts in game #2 .

First must win game of the year. Jets are tied for first with only 16 games left.

Actually would be bad to lose this one. With Indy on the road, in week 2 you don't want to start 0-2. Following that with Philly and Miami there is a distinct 0-4 risk and another season over in October
