The man is a stand-up guy. I've noticed that he is quoted in every post-game article about the Jets, win or lose. He must be a reporter's dream. After his playing days are over, I hope that he gets a job as an analyst. He'd be much more interesting than the array of former stars who generally spout one empty cliche after another.

Now lets hope that he avoids getting two false starts per game. I think that will be the case with Bowles as the coach. As it is, it's impressive that he beat out the younger guards this year.

It's the Long Island education
... and the Bronx upbringing.

Willie Colon is a true New Yorker, thru and thru, and a really down to earth guy. I was watching some show on CBS the night before the opener, some Jets show they did, and they had a segment (link below) where Colon interacts with Jets fans. It was a real pleasure to see how easily Colon interacts with the fans and how much he obviously and genuinely enjoys it. The guy definitely has a future in broadcasting.

Looking for a great game by the OL Monday in the dome.

That is the key to winning this game -- control the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. Very encouraged by the work of the OL on Sunday. Was afraid it might be a weakness of this team, but it looked like a strength. Lets see if they can keep it up.

Yes sir. I'd like to see over 140 yards on the ground. Keep the ball away from Luck and move them chains!

I'm pretty confident the O-line and Ivory/Powell will do their part to play keep-away with Luck, but controlling time of possession also requires the defense to get off the field on 3rd down, and they'll have to be a lot better at that verses the Colts, they can't be giving up 9 minute drives like they did verses Cleveland, and I don't have to tell you that Andrew Luck is a lot better than McCowan and Manziel, so its not gonna get easier on Monday night, we just have to be a lot better.

You better believe that the Colts will make Fitz beat them. We will have to put the ball in the air to get the Safety out of the box. I hope Chan has Devin Smith available to open up the field. That deep threat will be very important in opening up the running game.

Look how Buffalo used the deep ball to open things up. 1st 3 possessions Bills avg. 5 plays and a punt. 4th series the 51 yard bomb to Harvin, then the running game opened up a bit with 2 straight rushing TD's. Speed on the outside will have the Safety playing back.

They know we're not scared to put the ball over the top. Nobody is gonna let Marshall just run free

Not even one penalty caused by WIllie this past Sunday. Let's please not over look this. Bowles is doing a great job preaching discipline. Colon would always make some dumb mistake under Rex and he would get a pass time and time again.

This O-Line IMHO, if Willie can maintain not setting us back with dumb penalties, can be one of the best in the NFL.

Fitz is no Mark Sanchez or Geno Smith. He's a seasoned vet. If they load the box, we have the O-Line to sustain the pressure and with the WR we have, IMHO Fitz would have a career day. I honestly hope Pagano does indeed do that. The game will be over by the 3rd quarter.

I totally agree with this. We just ran very well against one of the better d lines in the NFL. They tried to stuff the box on us too....you see where that got them. Colts d-line is nowhere near that good. Colts are between a rock and a hard place I think, without the offense at the moment to match up to the points they are going to bleed.

I am sure they are saddened by the fact that Gino is not under Center. Changes the whole game plan and I agree they cannot match up defensively
