I wish the Jets still had Mike DeVito. The guy came cheap. He was homegrown talent and he would be a great addition to our DL rotation.

Just a suggestion but mods, can you change this to the week 2 game day thread-non Jets related. This way we can discuss all the games here, except the Jets game of course. Just a suggestion once again and dont mean to step on your toes Ham. As far as this game went, I really wished I could have watched it but I had to work. Seemed like a real intense, exciting and hard hitting game. Peyton may have lost alot but he's hasn't lost enough yet to just underestimate him. He's still one of the beat QBs out there.

I feel for Peyton. This has to be his last year. I do think he'll get better because he'll get used to his arm strength in a bit but then the cold will come and the learning curve will start all over again.

DEN has nothing in Osweiler and Elway knows it. He really had no choice but to go with the old man and pray DEN can pluck a new franchise QB out of the exceptional 2016 class.
Middle Manning should have retired at the end of last year and HE knows it - the only reason he's hanging around at this point is for the money and to notch a few NFL passing records on his belt instead of Favre's, Brees', & Stafford's.
He's already got some records;

Both of those are longevity records, (currently held by Favre), as is passing TDs.
- Yards per game (9.7 behind Stafford and 6.0 behind Brees - unlikely to get that to #1 unless those 2 stink up the jernt over the next few years)
- Adjusted net yards per passing attempt (trails Rodgers by 0.52 & Romo is barking up his shins, trailing by 0.16)
- Career passes completed per game (trailing Brees by 1.3 and Stafford by 0.7)

Agreed, I'd much rather watch Pats/Bills, but it would also be nice to watch the Giants start 0-2

I'll be watching the Redzone Channel instead of the Giants game. I was considering going to a bar, but I decided to relax at home today. the Redzone is great in that there is no commercials and I'm sure they will show plenty of the Pats/Bills game.

Arizona v Chicago is the only early game on here. Looks like it will be red zone for me today.
