Doesn't sound like Decker will be playing..................I agree, if in doubt, don't risk it

We know this team well enough to know some things are to be constant.

The Jets defense is NOT going to let the Eagles run on them. That isn't going to happen. They might get as much as 80 or 90 yards as a team, but they are not going to be running all over the Jets.

What's more alarming about this game is exactly what was done to the Jets in last weeks games. I expect the Eagles to try and shut down the Jets running game defensively. They want to challenge Ryan Fitzpatrick to win the game through the air. In other words, the Eagles are hoping they can force Fitz to throw some interceptions and give the Eagles short fields to work with.

The Colts tried very same thing just last Monday. I'm not worried about the Eagles offense running roughshod over the Jets D. The Jets D will keep their offense in line.

This game to me is about Fitz limiting his mistakes. He should only be taking what the defense is giving him. Every now and then go to a double covered Brandon Marshall. Fitz should be leaning on this good defense for support.

That is a winning formula for this weekend against the Eagles.

murray expected to play

ESPN's Ashley Fox reports DeMarco Murray (hamstring) will play Week 3 against the Jets.
Murray hurt his hamstring in Wednesday's practice and sat out Thursday. It's said to be just a "tweak." We'd like to see him practice Friday before penning him into lineups, but we should have a good feel for his availability by this afternoon. The Eagles could limit his reps in an already-tough matchup against the Jets. Sep 25 - 9:18 AM

This is great news in my opinion. I am less scared of DeMarco Murray than Sproles/Matthews. The reason for that is because he is a north/south runner but in Chip's scheme, he has been running the ball to the outside where he does not have the speed to get there.

Sproles and Matthews are more dangerous there.

my fantasy team desperately needs murray to start playing better. but the jets fan in me would take another bad week from him

I've got Jordan Matthews -- hoping for A LOT of receptions (PPR league) without any actual damage being done on the field . . .:talking-to-god-smil

This is why I can not play fantasy. I'm in a bar watching the Browns game with other Jets fans. The Dolphins game is right next to us. My friend is watching the Dolphins game, and yelling for the Dolphins in a goal line situation.

Said "Bobby, what are you doing?"..........."I've got the Dolphins D"

Sorry. Any team,or player, that affects the jets, I just can't root for

my first priority is always the jets.

but in the end, even if i root for non-jets, it has no impact in the actual games

+1 Agree. as much as I know about football, i refuse to join a fantasy league because only the Jets mean anything to me, not other players or teams.

Oh don't get me wrong Hobson, I'm not saying your not a great Jets fan. I just can't do it.

I don't even bet on the NFL, because any bet I make on an AFC team affects the Jets in some way.

Bet the heck out of NCAA though

Last week, Brandon Marshall and the Jets defense screwed me but glad they did!

I thought this as well. I think Gailey is purposely throttling the offense. When we actually needed to score, we marched right down the field....almost at will.
