I'm not attacking anyone, I am making a valid point. Most of the posters on this site have selective comprehension.
I get responses to what I post like We won't lose because Fitz throws an INT. Really? The entire football world considers turnovers as the ultimate game changing sin. But when I come on this site, suddenly the entire football world is all wrong. It's like I have suddenly entered the twilight zone for crying out loud. Turnovers LOSE games. That's called football 101 for anybody that's actually calling things objectively.
Now.... If you're playing the world champions, a team that is a clear tier above all of the competition the Jets have played thus far, it makes sense that the Jets would need to play BETTER than they have all of the others. A few turnovers against a bottom tier team these Jets can clearly get away with. They've proven it 4 times in this season.
But they cannot against the world champions.
You've suggested that the Jets can't do anything wrong against the Patriots. Those are the type of expectations I would normally see from Costello, Mehta, and to a lesser extent, Cimini. It's already a no win situation in their minds. We either play a near-flawless game and win, or we're a garbage team that shouldn't be taken seriously. Bowles answered that nonsense quite well the other day. He said "this game isn't going to make us or break us...it's game 6 and we'll approach it that way".
But the people who thrive on extremes don't look at it that way. They just say we're either a legitimate team, or we're not as a result of a week 7 football game in late October. If we lose, we're still 4-2. Hardly a "season defining game".
And for the record, you DO attack people with condescending rants. You've referred to other posters as ignorant because they don't agree with your assertions. Go back and read your words.
