If the jets ever have a home playoff game, MetLife will be rocking. Hoping for that myself.
I've seen 5 Home playoff games as a 44 year season ticket holder , winning 3
Unbelievable
The 1 I really want is a home Championship game
Maybe in year 45?

completely agree..Yes, I agree here but I want us to play a complete 60 minutes

The Jets ain't one of them.
CIN's undefeated season just went in the terlit, the Packers - everyone's favorite to win SB 50 - just lost 3 in a row and the NFCN division lede & probably fall 2.5 games back after they get whupped by the purple Vikkys this weekend - and mighty Manning just got his arse wasted by the lowly Chefs of Kansas City.
Are the Jets a playoff contender?
U becha they are.
well, as i'm sure you already know, that "someone" needs to be bowles..Yeah, I dunno. I definitely feel as though if the team is firing, they can make the playoffs and maybe even win the WC game.
The problem is they can't seem to put it all together at the same time. Someone needs to tell them that if they all play great at the same time, they'll win some games.
well, as i'm sure you already know, that "someone" needs to be bowles..
i'm started to become concerned that bowles is to laid back for his own good as far as being a HC is concerned..
still very early but.........
honesty, i hope he's is being to laid back to this point.. because if he is trying to enforce discipline/a sense of urgency his team doesn't seem to be responding to it..In general, I think the trend is that fans usually like HCs who are tougher on teams. It shows how big Rex's personality was that he was largely liked by Jets fans despite being extremely soft on his teams.
Maybe Bowles is too laid back. Or maybe we just don't see or hear about it when he's not.

at this point i would thrilled making the playoffs at 10-6..To me i feel we are with the exception we make bone head mistake to gift wrap wins to the opposing teams, 4x's this year.
IMHO, if we can clean that up, we can hit a hot streak that will carry us deep into the playoffs. This Sunday should be the start of that run. Begin to play flawless, no matter who lines up over you, the time is now.
12-4 folks.
like any rookie head coach growing pains are to be expected..I was being facetious.
I don't see Bowles as being particularly laid back. He sure doesn't seem to be laid back in his pressers. He's not Rex, that's for sure. And we should still be thankful for that.
He's a yet another rookie head coach who had to mop up the last one's mess. It's already been a wild ride for him. Cut him some slack. He needs to tighten up his game time skills, but the players seem to respect him.
Before that home loss to Buffalo (we still have to go there), the Jets had about an 80% chance of making the playoffs.
After that home loss to Buffalo (we still have to go there), our odds have plummeted to just under 50% (49 or 48).
Make no mistake about it, that loss was ABSOLUTELY ENORMOUS for a variety of reasons (I can list them all for you if necessary), that game had enormous Wildcard implications for a variety of reasons, now we are in a fight for our lives to make the playoffs and our margin for error has all but been squandered, which is to say, LOSE ONE GAME we should win, like the Texans with TJ Yates if Hoyer cannot go, and we're pretty much done. Thats the position we put ourselves in with that brutal home loss to the Bills (and we still have to go there). When you lose a game of that magnitude and your playoff odds drop so precipitously, now you have to win every game you can win or its adios amigos!
I haven't done or seen the math, but I would imagine that if we lose this week @ Houston we will see our odds plummet even further, much further, at least into the 30's and perhaps into he 20's percentile range.
Yes we are still playoff contenders, but N.F.L. (Not For Long) if we don't go on a winning streak starting RIGHT NOW, thats the reward we get for losing that home game to Buffalo (and we still have to go there).
like any rookie head coach growing pains are to be expected..
it's all about a young coach learning from (obviously) rookie mistakes as quickly as possible..
that said, some never do.. we'll see with bowles moving forward..
i still believe we hired the right guy though..
LOLz rough stretches in an NFL season are brutal!!
go jets!!
:1:can anyone tell me if we still have to play in Buffalo this year?![]()
I'm glad you noticed the emphasis I placed on that, because it can't be overstated that they own the tiebreaker on us now and the ONLY WAY we even have a chance at regaining it is by beating them in Buffalo in late December, which will be no easy task. The way I see it, losing that home game to Buffalo probably means we'll be fighting with a few other teams for the last playoff spot (6 Seed), with Buffalo most likely getting the 5 Seed.

The defensive shortcomings aren't helping matters either.
I'm not saying he's completely blameless for the game-ending INTs lately, but the play calling ASKING him to do it are at least as much to blame.
