Interesting you would say that. I expect the Broncos to win. Of course, I expected the Bengals to win too, but once Dalton went down, all bets were off.

I watched the Broncos tonight and their offense is terrible. Steelers will score 30 pts on any defense and no way Broncos can pull this one out. I could see KC losing to Oakland in last week possibly. We need to get to 10-5 and then worry about scenarios.

It's basically a 3-team race for 2 slots.
KC, NJJ, & PIT.
OAK is standing on the outside looking in, for someone to stumble.

Saturday night's game is important for the Jets. The Patriots cannot be penciled in as a win, simply because they're the best team in the AFC. The Buffalo game will be in their house, and you just know that an angry, bitter Rex Ryan will be licking his wounds over getting ousted from the playoffs by then. The Bills are gonna want to sweep us badly.

Beat the Cowboys minus Romo. Cassell is garbage. If that happens, you can split the last two games and still, more than likely, make the playoffs.

Are you saying that because you're expecting either Pitt or KC to lose 2 of their last 4? Or because we win a tiebreaker with one/both? (Maybe this is common knowledge to the rest of you, but I've been too busy lately to care about anyone but the green and white).

If we end up on the outside with 10 wins, I can live with that. But I'm pretty sure both those teams are going to get to that total as well . . .

Cowboys game is the only one we can lose. We need wins in the conference for tie breakers. There is a chance we go 11-5 and still don't make it. If Steelers lose any one of the last three and we lose to Cowboys then we still have tie breakers with the Steelers. We just can't lose to Pats or Bills. If we end up at 10-6 and in tie with KC then we have no way to win tie breakers at all.

Unfortunately, even if the Jets beat Dallas, if the Steelers win next weekend I think they take over the second wildcard from us due to a better AFC record. Jets may need to win out and, even then, may not make the playoffs. But then again, KC and Pitt may win their divisions, and the Jets may be battling different teams for the wildcard.

I was referring to probably the easiest game to win. Dallas' offense can be held in check by our defense. And the way the Jets are playing offensively, I don't see this game as a problem. We should beat Dallas by two TD's, even on the road. The Patriots game is going to be a tough game, and the Bills are gonna be motivated to be spoilers for us. I don't think we're going 11-5. I see 10-6. And Dallas has to be one of those wins just based on the fact that we're a much better team.

But I understand your point about conference games. There's a traffic jam in the AFC right now.

Gonna propose something that no one has talked about yet.

The Cincinnati Bengals are not a lock to make the playoff by no stretch either at 10-3. If they lose out and the Steelers win out, Pitt wins the division and we would slide in at 11-5 if we win out.

Many many possibilities!

True Dan, I touched on that in the game thread. I think that may be our best shot. But we may need them to go 0-3
