Maybe I am being pessimistic but as far as I'm concerned, the season is over and we should start looking ahead to next year. The shopping list is pretty big:

Offense:

- we need to find a replacement for Brick. He's slated to make 14m next year, a sum way to large for what he's producing
- need to find a replacement for right guard
- start grooming a replacement for Mangold. I still think he has another good year ahead of him.
- running back? Will Ivory be back next season? He's a free agent and I am not sure if he will command top dollar.
- bring someone to compete with Petty and Fitzpatrick for the starter role
- get depth so players can contribution ST

Defense:

- need to overhaul our LB corps. Each position warrants an upgrade.
- find a second cornerback to play opposite Revis.
- get depth so players can contribute on ST

Did I miss anything? We have a long way ahead of us. Not sure if Mac can do it all in one offseason.

yep a third/fourth wr
a guy who returns punt/kickoffs forward not out of bounds or fair catches everything
a blocking TE
A wr TE depending on jace who can be another outlet for fitz
extend fitz 2 years first year have him start in 2016 if he can let petty take over 2017
speed on the defense side of the ball.
better depth across the board
get rid of the distractions players see if rex wants them back ie geno and colon off the top of my head

I'm ready for some upgrades along the offensive line. I think Macc should put a heavy emphasis there during the draft and FA. I also believe LB should be addressed. Let Coples walk, and start looking at a Demario Davis replacement as well.

I think you got most of it....

My shopping list is similar

LT and C to be groomed to replace Dbrick and Mangold... Think both have another year or 2 left..
Depth at OL
WR - Smith has a long way to go.. Thompkins I like and should be playing, he's earned it.. but need someone to replace Marshall as he is 31
RB - Resign Ivory draft a guy late to groom.
TE - Need I say more (Amaro might be the answer but lets give him some competition)
Defense

Just LB'ers all of them specifically a pass rush guy and a guy that can cover

That's it

I like our safety situation with Pryor/Gilchrist/Miles and hope we can groom Martin on the PS

I think even with Cro under performing and Revis coming down a notch we are fine at CB with Williams/Skrines/McDougle and Millner

Seems like a lot but the reality is the only starters we need immediately are at the LB positions and possibly RB if we don't resign Ivory or Ridley.. So smart drafting and shrewd Free agent moves will go a long way in getting this roster right...

And I didn't mention QB because I think Petty is the guy and I don't think we will be in a position to draft anyone worth it in the first rd this year and later in the draft I am not sure you will find a better QB than Petty but hey if we want to look at QBs in Rd3 or 4 here are the guys to consider

1. Cody Kessler USC
2. Carson Wentz North Dakota St
3. Brandon DOughty Western Kentucky
4. Cardale Jones Ohio St
5. Kevin Hogan Standford
