Haven't looked forward to a football game this much in several years. At home, playing well, and a perfect opportunity to finish the season strong. A victory this Sunday will have the Jets confidence sky high. Love the way this team has turned it around after that crappy showing in Houston.

I got you and I do remember that game. Yeah, we will need the crowd to cause just as much damage as they did that day. So if Bowles can't rally the fans to do it, then call sexy Rexy to do it for us then. LOL!

Patriots' injury list grows with WR Amendola, LB Hightower, CB Chung

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- The banged-up New England Patriots saw three top players knocked out of Sunday's 33-16 win over the Tennessee Titans with injuries. Receiver Danny Amendola and linebacker Dont'a Hightower suffered knee injuries, and safety Patrick Chung injured his hip. The severity of their injuries wasn't immediately known after the game.

Amendola left late in the second quarter after a 22-yard punt return. He initially returned to the sideline with his teammates for the second half before turning back to the locker room for further evaluation.

Rookie RB Joey Iosefa delivers highlight-reel bulldozing run for Patriots

Joey Iosefa was promoted from the New England Patriots' practice squad Saturday to add a third layer of depth at running back and made an impression.

Amendola had missed the team's 30-24 loss to the Denver Broncos on Nov. 29 with a left knee injury. His duties as the No. 3 receiver Sunday were filled by Leonard Hankerson, who was making his Patriots debut after being claimed off waivers Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Hightower, a starter who was returning after missing two games with a reported sprained left MCL, hobbled off early in the third quarter. Members of the athletic training staff were looking at his left knee on the sideline. Hightower walked to the locker room for further evaluation but returned to the sideline to watch the remainder of the game.

Eight-year veteran linebacker Jerod Mayo and fourth-year player Darius Fleming were bumped up the depth chart when Hightower was sidelined.

Finally, Chung appeared to take a helmet to the thigh/knee area in the fourth quarter and remained down as the athletic training and medical staff came to check on him. He got to his feet and attempted to jog it off before walking slowly to the sideline and locker room.

Chung, a starter, was spotted walking out of the stadium after the game without the aid of crutches. Rookie Jordan Richards and fourth-year players Tavon Wilson and Nate Ebner moved up the depth chart in his absence.

The Patriots have been hit hard by injuries, having placed 17 players on season-ending injured reserve this year, the second-highest total in the NFL behind the Baltimore Ravens' 18. That doesn't include players such as No. 1 receiver Julian Edelman, who has been sidelined since breaking a bone in his left foot Nov. 15.

With Sunday's win, the Patriots improved to 12-2 and are the AFC's top-seeded team with two games remaining in the regular season.

This will feel like a home playoff game. The Jets fans at the stadium need to bring their "A" game from the opening starter introduction when they come out of the tunnel. The players have bought into the system. Bowles will start to prepare for the Pats as if is do or die. The team has an enormous momentum on their side that this franchise hasn't experienced in 5 years.

You can tell where the leaders of this team are stepping up big time. Brandon Marshall, never been to a playoff game-dude is chomping at the bit.

Mo Wilkerson, having by far the best season of his career, never smelled the playoffs...WANTS IT!

Our QB, defying all the odds, playing out of his mind, wants to fly this thing right into the playoffs and keep it going.

Our defense as a whole is COMPLETE. There are NO HOLES. They are as stout as they come.

Our offence is just on a 1986 level of high octane air power and a 2009 Ground and Pound force.

I'll be the first to say it, the Patriots better prepare harder for us than any playoff team they will face in January. Our Green and White team we've been waiting for...............

HAS ARRIVED!

I agree.

Rex had them up for the last game. Think Rex might be 1 and done in Buffalo. He'll be a great talking head though
one of ryan's greatest strengths is his team's love to play for him because he's "one of the guys.." that as we all know here, can/will become problematic.. if he's lost that in year one in buffalo he's in trouble already..

that said, i don't know ryan's contract specifics but i thought i remember hearing he essentially got a raise when he got the buffalo gig..

i doubt ownership wants to be on the hook for that much guaranteed money after only one season..

unless ownership believes ryan's an unmitigated disaster..

As you mentioned, Ryan's greatest asset is the loyalty of his players, and his ability to motivate them. He's had problems with the D-line since day one in Buffalo. Not only that the fan base appears to have turned on him also.

Think the new ownership doesn't want to lose the base support. Worst then eating money on a coach's salary, ownership doesn't want to see an empty stadium.

Well there are reports that players are at odds with his scheme, he is said to be at odds with GM... unsubstantiated but if there is smoke...
He is and never was a HC and he is proving it taking a 9-7 team that looked to be on the up swing to 6-8 record. I like him year one when he came in and said he hold people accountable..then never did and I lost respect for when he didn't hold people accountable, when he failed to get better as a HC and because he was a blowhard like his dad all bluster and not much substance.

On and I have a friend who is a DR and rabid Bills fan and he said that according to the blogs, etc. he visits as a fan, the fans were tired of his act after the 1/4 of the year...enough said about this loser.

AS for NE, I don't give a rats ass about their injuries. This team better start fast on O, they better block 50 with two people and tackle Gronk at the knees... D better come to play and stop the 5-7 yard drag routes across the middle, the pick plays they always run, the ER screens, etc. and mix up the coverages.

I vote we stop discussing that NFL career LOSER and focus on discussing kicking the crap out of the forces of Satan on Sunday instead

Here here and I second this motion. Now back to what's important and that's the game. The Jets know whats at stake here in front of their fans against their most hated rival. Hopefully they can pull this out. This here will be a true statement game for the Ganggreen.

No

Forces of Satan have already been flexed enough times to have reached their max number of National games

So they will have to just take their massive thumping by the Jets regionally on Sunday at one

It would have been nice for the whole nation to watch Tammi get sacked 7 times, picked three times before being carted off in the third quarter

If we are going to win this game, our offense has to show up for 4 full qtrs.

The passing game has been carrying the Jets the last few weeks. Time for Ivory and the running game to start hitting the the mark again.

Nice that he had all that free time, rather than, you know, prepping for the game.

Also nice that him spending his time not prepping made no difference, as the Jets won, anyway.

I think it was actually just a recording that took 5 mins. I don't think he personally called all 42,000 (or whatever) STH's on a Thursday afternoon. :)

I would hope not. If he did, that's pretty ridiculous.

Haha, that would have taken him years to do.

However, now that i think about it. all these shenanigans the team used to do arent being done anymore.

I remember every so often they would have a season ticket holder conference call with the GM and coach. I'll dial in but never got the chance to ask the question. It seemed like the questions were always buttercups.
