But you are allowed to.post your love paeans to the greatness of this failed 4-12 blowhard.

Who appointed you as the classroom monitor here, anyhow with your voluminous 46 posts and all????

There were a lot of people that had posted 25,000x on J.I., they never did have much of anything to say, they just loved to add to a meaningless post count? I didn't know I was supposed to respect someones opinion based on the number of posts? I think after maybe 10 years there I had 1200 posts or so....big deal.

You know, I've never understood why so many members of fan sites have great respect for a poster based simply on post count. Now, since posts are the life's blood of a board I can understand why a board owner would do everything possible to encourage frequent posting. But for the majority of members of the site? I just don't understand why so many of them give such great credence to large post counts.

The only posters who care about post counts are the ones with a lot of posts. It's how they measure their self worth. It's how they define themselves. Their lives are so void of meaning, that their post counts, and the post counts of others, become important to them. They have nothing meaningful to add to the discussion, so they try to make it up through sheer volume of posts, thinking that will somehow give them the validation and attention that they so desperately seek. It's not their fault, they can't help themselves. It's actually very sad.

Glad we don't have any of those people here.

I don't mean to be rode here but why are we even discussing this or care period? I guess a lot of fans still have love or respect for Rex. Don't get me wrong, its not saying I don't want the man working, he has a family to feed like I and we do. I also know he would at least get a job in TV at Fox, ESPN etc-etc... So he will he just fine. I care about our out team only. That's where my focus is. Guess we can debate this all day long but Rex's act ran dry here about 2 years ago and he should of been fired when Tanny was.

I guess people don't realise or forget Rex was handed a very team from the Mangini and Herm era. Yes Rex did bring a few players with him, a swag, attitude and defensive scheme that was boss at that time. However, he and Tanny killed that team with their dumb off season moves. Cutting or allowing key vets to walk like T. Jones, Richardson, Woody, Faneca, J-co Rhodes and a few more. These guys were leaders of the team and still had two to three years left of very play in them that could of helped us content. Then they replace them with players that not only were they not as good as them but were head cases.

Players like Holmes, Buress and Mason for ex... I will give him the Braylon Edwards trade, that was very good but they let Braylon walk and gave Holmes all that money. Rex knows nothing about QBs or offense and doesn't seem to care to know. He seemed clueless to what his players were doing in the field and didn't seem to hold them accountable for their actions. He was horrible at time and game management. His defenses got worse and worse every year, if he is such a defensive genuis then why the decline? Dont give me he didnt have the players, you change the scheme and coach the players up if you have to. I'm glad he's gone and was ready to move on two years ago. Just my opinion I guess!

Mangini never won a playoff game with Chad or Favre and Herm was left both Vinny and Chad and 3 other 1st rd picks in their 2 year.. I assume you believe like most Rex haters he was also the GM.. BTW Thomas Jones was 32 and did nothing with KC, T-Rich was 39 he was done.Big Wood never played again and Faneca played 1 season after he was let go. Cotch wanted out and Rhodes hated Jim Leonhard and didn't want to play Rex's style defense.. Read your post you don't even mention Tanny except Rex should have been gone with him, which I agree with..Other then that it's just your Rex hate shining through..

Here's Rex's big mistake and that's going to 2 AFCCG's in a row..Once you have fans used to that you have to go bigger.. It's like dating a girl and getting laid on the first 2 dates and then she becomes a virginal nun.. Had Rex did his seasons in reverse he would still be the Coach..

You know I can't argue your last statement at all. That was a great comparison. Boy would I be passed if she gave it up twice then all of a sudden, she don't know what sex is about and acts like we never had it before LOL. That's exactly what Rex did to us. After two seasons of success, everything changed just that quick. It was like he forgot how to coach or something.

As far as all the dumb ass moves he and Tanny made, they were just that. There are many players up in age that are still very good and playing in the right environment (meaning right coach and team) they give you more then they would another team. That was the situation with Thomas, Richardson, Woody, Faneca, J-co etc... Thomas, Richardson, Woody and Faneca didn't want to leave the team.

Woody said if the Jets cut him he would retire. Thomas I guess lost his heart for football. Same with Braylon. J-co wanted out because he saw they were going in a different direction. They made Holmes the priority and showed no love to J-co and Braylon and they still had a lot left in the tank. With the Jets anyway. Like I said, we can debate this all day and it will get us no where. You fell how you do and I feel how I feel.

if they are talking X's and O's on defense Rex won't fail an interview. If nothing else he is a dynamic personality.

Why would he go to the Bills with no QB?? Unless he's looking at that D and doesn't know?? LOL

When Rex Ryan interviews for head coaching vacancies, he wants prospective general managers to know that he'll have the best offensive coordinator money can buy.

Ian Rapoport reported on NFL Network's NFL GameDay Morning, per a source informed of Ryan's plans, that the former Jets coach wants to team up with Marc Trestman, the recently fired Bears coach. The feeling appears to be mutual.

Ryan's offensive aptitude has been overblown throughout the process (how many coaches are well versed on both sides of the ball?), but having a well-respected coordinator like Trestman should quiet some of the skeptics surrounding Ryan's hire.

The fit would still seem to be idyllic for the Atlanta Falcons, who have a ready-made offense and defense with some 3-4 pieces that is ready to take off.

With Trestman in tow, Ryan won't have to be concerned about running the ball more than 40 times in one game, or the Wildcat, or the Tebowcat, for that matter.

Rapoport added that 49ers offensive coordinator Greg Roman could be another option for Ryan.
