Thoughts? I wish they could go back to Hofstra.

U.S. Sen. Charles Schumer wants the New York Jets to keep their training camp in central New York.

The New York Democrat will be at Syracuse University Monday afternoon to call on the NFL team to return this summer to SUNY Cortland, 30 miles south of Syracuse.

Schumer says since the Jets began holding their training camp in Cortland starting in 2009, some $24 million has been pumped into the local economy thanks to the thousands of fans who show up each summer during the team's three-week stay.

Why not the state of the art facility they have in NJ? if they want to be sentimental they can have the Green and White scrimmage, or something else there.

No dorm like facilities for the 130+ people involved

Cortland is fine and also 10-15 degrees cooler than LI or NJ

They didn't have a problem in 2011 after the lock out ended. Or every year for the Mini caps and OTA's

They had every intention of holding their summer camps there until Rex wanted to move them away from distractions, and isolate them to bond.

Going to Cortland was a Rex idea, not a team plan

I wonder where Rex is having the Bills camp?? Plenty of places in upstate NY maybe a Trailer park??LOL

Giants have moved from Albany, to their new facility at the Meadowlands. Didn't seem to hurt. They won a Super Bowl.

if the Jets decide to go back to the Island for some reason it would probably be Stony Brook. They tried to get it when the jets went to Cortland

Probably Cortland. 180 miles +- to Buffalo. Rex seemed real fond of Doug's Fish House.

Personally want them to stay at Florham Park! Beautiful and it is one of the best faculties in football.

Seems senseless taking them out to an inferior site out on the Island, when they have one of the best training facility's in the NFL right at home

Well I guess I was selfish. I want them to move to Hofstra so I can attend training camp once in a blue.

Back in the days of two a days I used to travel up from South Jersey to Hofstra to catch a few practices.

C'mon Elias put your traveling shoes on :)

Nothing wrong with that. I understand. Honestly that's why I want them to stay at Florham Park.
