Just guessing but, I think they blinked. A lot of teams are interested in Quinn now. Nobody is signing any one and appear to be waiting. If they had Bowles and Quinn rated close, but Quinn slightly ahead it is smart to do the deal with Bowles with Atlanta showing immediate interest. If Bowles turns them down, and signs with the Falcons, at least one of the better teams will be out of the Quinn hunt.

If they are 'on the fence' with both guys - in other words, happy with either - then Bowles, being available now, may just be the safest route to go. this and now that denver is also looking for a HC and peyton is staying I would say it is a safe bet Quinn goes to #broncos .

After hearing about Bowles history with the Jets and how he's from the area I truely believe the deal will be finalized tomorrow. I agree that Quinn will end up in Denver. They've pretty much already decorated his house for him.
