Why Matt Moore is the perfect stop gap.

Regardless rather you think Geno is the Future or a bum what we do know is we need a stop-gap for geno or another QB that may not be on the roster yet. With us getting Bowles as head coach I think the fact he learned from parcells and arians is going to be huge in dealing with players. If we do in fact get chan gailey as our OC he runs alot of spread that is designed to get the ball out of the QB's hands and to the wr's in space and let them make plays.

In order to run a offense like this you don't need a QB with a rocket arm or one a member of the Mensa club. You do need a veteran QB that knows the playbook and more importantly one that is a pro. What I mean by pro is what fitzpatrick was for the texans and orton was for the bills. He will not be the franchise QB we are seeking but he will be better this year than the young guys behind him.

Taking a look at his career he he has a 11-12 w/l record with almost 60 percent completion rate 33 TD's and 28 INT's now those are not eye popping numbers but as long as we get chan gailey for OC those numbers should improve. The key is getting gailey for this to work.

best part is Matt Moore QB 30 MIA TBD $5,500,000 UFA a cheap 2 yr contract is worth it

I wanted the Jets to get Moore 3 years ago and every year since.

Yep I agree. Been touting Moore for years. Only problem is, I'm not so sure he wants to be a starting QB. He's being paid 4 million to sit on the bench in beautiful weather, with no 300 pound guys trying to tear his head off
