New Uniforms?

Am I the only one who wouldn't like a revamp of the uniforms? Or maybe just a single debut to see how it played out? Maybe something like this with a better helmet and a lot less black so it less resembles the Eagles. I'm sure most Jets fans have already seen this.

Yeah I wouldn't wanna stray from the classic but they could throw a little more in there. Something involving an actual Jet on the uniform or helmet maybe. Nothing over the top.

They remind of FOUR things, all bad

1. Moron Gastineau roughing Kosar

2. Richard Todd throwing that pick in the EZ vs Buffalo

3. Dennis Byrd getting nearly killed colliding with Me reread


AND OF COURSE

4. The 4-28 two season Kotite Error

i wouldn't mind them wearing something like that in pre-season

the jets version of the classic/traditional uniforms they wear now are as sharp as any in football..

that & they are pretty much the last connection to our only superbowl win..

i would be cool with them wearing either/both the 80's & 90's uniforms from time to time though..

I'd like to see them wear the early 80's Freeman McNeil era jerseys once per season. One of my favorite Jets memories is watching Freeman put up 200 on the Bengals in the '82 playoffs.

I like our uniforms. Sometimes when a new regime comes in they change or tweak the uniforms. Nowadays you have to notify the league by a certain date if you want to change the design.

I heard that the eagles are switching back to the old bright green uniforms. I heard this last year and for some reason it was said they had to wait 2 years as per NFL rules.

Not sure if this is true at this point

I for one had always wanted the Jets to incorporate the color black into their uniforms. Can't remember the year but obviously my favorite uniforms were the ones in the 90's that had the color black in it. I think the facemasks were black mainly. Anyway, I truly do like the picture uniforms of this original post. Are these the proposed uniforms or something you just made up? The uniforms we have now are to plain. If they added the color black into those uniforms I would be cool with it but I really like the 90's and the pictured uniforms if this thread.

They tried that in one of Coslet's banner losing seasons. I think it was the same year they stuck the original logo on those disco green helmets and created some atrocity that was supposed to be a throwback to the 60s unis

It was almost uglier than the blue and yellow Titans horrors

Nah man, those uniforms were sweet! To each his own I guess. Overall, I've been wanting them to incorporate black into their uniforms period. Whether its the one they have now, the pictured one if this thread or something from the 60's. As long as they do that I'm good. Adds flare and looks more intimidating if you ask me. But I truly do like the pictured uniform of this thread and would love them to go to it.

I think we can all agree that the Titans uniforms are but ugly and I hope
we never wear them again. I do seem to recall that we win with those on though. Strange.

that would be cool but the cut of todays football jerseys would make it tough/impossible to get the sleeves right..

i would like to see us go back to shade of green from the superbowl days & the grey facemasks..
