He was amazing. Great hands avg speed. Curious if he would have caught Maynard in catches if he did not retire so young
What a great season to make or break the AFL League trying to show they could hang with big boys NFL. AFL with cool logos,names on uniforms,didnt matter color of skin or gender,if good you got job. This game caused merger along with changing tbe passing game.Baltimore Colts was one of the best teams Ive ever seen and Jets kicked,scratched to beat Raiders for opportunity. Made me a Jets fan when I was teetering between Raiders my fav and Jets the underdog. Entire league was scared of Namaths arm passing and if he wasnt hung over could slam passez all over for TDs.Funny Colts didnt know out best WR was hert they double covered and our 2 RBs Boozer both controled the game and should have got MVP. Also Jets Defense dominated the entire Offense. It was the biggest upset in the history of NFL SB witb so much riding on this SB to determine if AFL surviving and reconition of players and big money paid to them. Tgere was so much more like stats and names,gender,color all changing from this game. I loved that AFL cool uniforms,passing, made games far more fun to watch. The only question is if Raiders won over Jets I would be a Raiders fan today and not sure if thats good for me. Lol
