Areas for ImprovementBellinger is a bit high hipped. He is slow to get rolling. His high cut frame and limited power in hands prevent a top blocking grade. Bellinger is a glider, moves faster than he appears but lacks the top end speed to be a real threat down the seam. His acceleration is less to be desired for the NFL level. Bellinger is not a particularly explosive athlete. He is not a nuanced route runner. He struggles to win with any style, but will find soft spots in zone coverage or work open in an improvised situation. He is not particularly gifted with vertical ability.

Daniel Bellinger NFL Draft Player ProfileDaniel is arguably the best blocking tight end prospect in this draft class. That means that Bellinger should aways have value in the NFL as a second tight end. His run blocking ability is very consistent and he’s a great impact blocker. His receiving ability, however limited it may be, can also be utilized in certain situations. He’s a good piece with a limited ceiling but a low risk.
