Tyler features an aggressive punch that is well placed and timed. He quickly controls reps with his hands and has terrific grip strength. He does well to stay square to blocks and sustain. He has easy movement skills in pass protection and his footwork is capable to stay in front and mirror defenders. He is patient in pass protection and isn't easily drawn out of his set. At the point of attack, Tyler has terrific power to create movement in the run game. He knows how to unlock his hips and roll them into contact. He block with an edge and wants to put opponents on their backs. He has positive moments working in space and executing longer pulls. He plays with good leverage and is under control.
Areas for Improvement
Vrabel can get a bit top-heavy whereas he can find himself leaning and folding at the waist. He needs to bend more consistently at the knees and trust his base to not overextend with consistent posture. His head will occasionally drop in the run game and he’ll fall off blocks. There are instances on tape where he is outreached, bringing into question his length.

Rated as the No. 237 player in Texas and the nation’s No. 152 offensive tackle according to 247Sports and was the No. 171 player in Texas and the country’s No. 103 offensive tackle according to ESPN Recruiting. Played in two games before redshirting the rest of the season. As a redshirt freshman in 2019, he was All-ACC Honorable Mention in which he started all 13 games at left tackle. The following year he continued his successful play, All-ACC Honorable Mention while playing in all 785 offensive snaps across 11 games at left tackle for a team that rushed for 1,119 yards on the season with 11 rushing touchdowns.
