Hines can overstep his kick slide, allowing too wide of a land back inside for pass rushers to redirect. He has more power than quickness, struggles to redirect and hit the movin target. He lunges too often, leading to flailing missed blocks. He is a finesse blocker with average arm length who doesn't use his hands well to win at the point of attack. He flashes the ability to move his assignment but needs to be more consistent in this area. He is heavy footed and lacks elite lateral agility. He will struggle with speed rushers and footwork is a work in progress. Bends too much at the waist and overextends himself, often caught leaning.
