Jaivon Heiligh Scouting ReportJaivon has a knack for getting open and is a quarterback's best friend, passers just need to toss the ball in his area and he'll come down with it. He is a savvy, natural pass-catcher with reliable hands and very good focus. Snatches the ball out of the air and shows the concentration to make acrobatic catches look easy. He has good quickness off the line. Has size and quickness to get off NFL press. Jaivon has elite balance tight-roping the sideline and in-and-out of his breaks, showing excellent start-stop ability and burst. He is very quick and elusive, excellent change of direction and acceleration, especially for a former track star. Fluid athlete with explosive burst and speed to stretch the field and breeze past defenders. Has a quick first step and gets to top speed in a hurry. Jaivon has good body strength to squirm out of tackles with the coordination to maneuver his frame between defenders. He is a strong runner with the ball with enough agility to make defenders miss in the open field.

Areas for ImprovementHeiligh does not always use his hands to secure deep throws. He was never a very fast prospect who exploded off the line of scrimmage. He has a lanky frame and will be overmatched physically by most cornerbacks in the NFL. He needs to be more competitive in tight coverage.

Jaivon Heiligh Career at Coastal CarolinaJaivon Heiligh was tabbed second-team 2017 American Family Insurance ALL-USA Florida Football Team (all divisions). A three-star recruit by 247Sports.com. He finished runner-up to teammate Bryce Carpenter as the Florida 7A Player of the Year. He set Florida state records as a senior in 2017 with 131 receptions, 2,359 receiving yards, and 32 receiving touchdowns. He totaled 252 career receptions for his career which is a Florida high school state record as well. Enrolled at Coastal Carolina, Jaivon played in all 12 games, starting two as a true freshman. He made starts at wide receiver at home versus ULM (Oct. 13) and Georgia Southern (Nov. 17). He totaled 14 receptions for 202 yards and two touchdowns Averaged 14.4 yards per catch on the season. Also tallied 11 rushing yards on a fumble recovery and return at Louisiana (Sept. 22). He had five receptions of 20-plus yards on the season, including a season-long 28-yard catch at Georgia State (Oct. 27). Sophomore campaign, Jaivon played in all 12 games, starting 10 contests. He lined up at wide receiver and returned punts. He led the team in receptions (46) and receiving yards (497), and was second in receiving touchdowns (3) on the season. Also led the team with an average of 41.7 receiving yards per game. His junior year he was named to the 2020 Phil Steele Sun Belt All Conference first team. He recorded his 100th career reception and surpassed 1,000 career receiving yards. Jaivon Heiligh had an oustanding senior performance recording 66 receptions, 1,128 yards and hauling in 7 touchdowns.
