Brandon is a long-striding athlete with good playing speed. He is usually sure-handed with the concentration to snatch the ball out of the air. He does not have exceptional straight-line speed but takes advantage of open seams when his quarterback is on target. He catches the ball with his large, soft hands and is tough. Deceptive jets and a smooth route runner.

Brandon possesses a solidly-built frame with excellent toughness and physicality to power through tackles and work well in traffic. He often used on deep routes, getting separation down the sideline or over the middle on crossing routes by extending his arms rather than pure speed. He generally reliable receiver capable of making difficult catches in traffic over the middle or one on one down the sideline.

Brandon Johnson NFL Draft Player Profile

One of the more polished players was Johnson, who ran sharp routes, flashed the ability to contort his body and adjust to off-target throws, while consistently plucking the ball out of the air. Most impressive is the length he possesses, as Johnson proved to be an ultimate red zone mismatch, scoring 11 touchdowns in 2021. A former four-star recruit, he played 46 games (15 starts) at Tennessee before finishing up his collegiate career as a graduate transfer at UCF.
