Cade Brewer Career at SchoolCade Brewer a fifth-year tight end who utilized his additional year of eligibility. He played in 55 career games with 33 starts and ranks sixth among UT tight ends in career receptions (59), 10th in receiving yards (611) and fourth in receiving touchdowns (eight). He earned All-Big 12 honorable mention in 2021 and invited to the 2021 All-Star Hula Bowl Classic He was selected to the 2021 John Mackey Award preseason watch list and named a fourth-team All-Big 12 Preseason selection by Phil Steele in 2021. Cade earned All-Big 12 honorable mention in 2020 and made his collegiate debut against Maryland in 2017. He was a 2021 CoSIDA Academic All-District honoree and a four-time Academic All-Big 12 First Team selection (2018-21). Cade was named to 2017-18 Academic All-Big 12 Rookie Team and he was an All-State performer at nearby Lake Travis HS. Brewer was two-time all-district honoree who led Lake Travis to the 6A-D1 state championship as a senior and a five-time member of the Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll (fall 2017; spring 2018, spring 2020, fall 2020, spring 2021).

He offers a willingness and capability as a run blocker, he also can provide assistance as a pass blocker. Brewer concluded his five-year career at Texas with 59 catches for 611 yards and eight touchdowns. He was more known as a blocking tight end, and will have a great chance at the next level to fill a team’s role of being a blocking tight end or even a fullback type of player.
