Locates the ball quickly and pursues with passion, showing_ good lateral agility while extending the play to the sideline. He combines strength and footwork to fill holes inside, as well. Greene recovers from cut blocks or falling on his way to make a tackle. Greene has coordinated with smooth movement skills. He is a high-effort rusher and works through the whistle. Mike is a relentless worker, fighting off blocks and battling to the ball. He has average quickness and power and his bull rush will be stonewalled. He comes off the snap high, losing leverage but delivers a strong punch and uses his hands to shed blocks to make plays in the hole or outside the box. Uses lower-body strength to anchor inside.

He is not a sudden athlete nor is he a quick-twitch athlete or naturally flexible short-area player. He fails to rely when initial push is halted. He lacks the speed to turn the corner consistently and is too often washed out by stronghanded blockers. Greene lacks overpowering strength and can stick to blocks. Lacks explosive speed to bend and flatten off the corner with stiff hips and ankles. Not flexible or fluid. Not overly flexible or loose. Limited, predictable pass-rush arsenal. Struggles to locate the ball at times and needs to do a better job with his read-and-react skills.

Mike Greene Career at SchoolMike Greene was an honor roll student who was a member of the National Honor Society. He was a part of Highligh Spring's back to back VHSL 5A state championships as a junior and senior. As a freshman, he played in nine games and had two tackles to go along with a quartback hurry. As a sophomore in 2018, he started all 13 games on the defensive line. He totaled 41 tackles (13 solo), to go with 5.5 tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks. He also forced and recovered a fumble to go along with a quarterback hurry. In 2019, Greene started all 16 games at defensive tackle. He registered 53 tackles (22 solo) to go with 11.0 tackles for loss. He recorded 7.5 sacks, one forced fumble and six quarterback hurries. As a senior, Mike played in all eight games, making seven starts at defensive end. He had 25 total tackles, 10.5 tackles for loss, 3.0 sacks two pass breakups and three quarterback hurries. With an extra year of eligibility in 2021, Greene had 56 total tackles, 12 for loss with 5 sacks, 2 pass breakups and one quarterback hurry.
