Aaron Hansford NFL Draft Profile
|
Aaron Hansford Scouting ReportVery good speed for the position. Quick and agile. Explosive off the snap. Lateral quickness is subpar. Slow to change direction. Lacks a lot of upper body strength. Doesn’t show great tackling ability. Doesn’t wrap up consistently, tries instead to use the sideline and his hit power. Very rarely do you see him bring a ball carrier to the ground on his own.

Areas for ImprovementDoesn’t work through traffic too well. Struggles to locate the runner. Not particularly adept at timing his rushes. Flashes a little shoulder dip to have some decent bend, but struggles to work through blocks for the most part. I don’t think Hansford is a great space defender. Contains fairly well, but doesn’t collapse on his contain nearly as well.

Aaron Hansford NFL Draft Player ProfileAn excellent mover, Aaron Hansford is too raw and inconsistent to see defensive snaps in the NFL at this point; that said, his athleticism offers substantial upside.
