A sleeper pick: Tyler Lockett

I understand the Jets currently have Percy Harvin who is versatile and a great weapon for the Jets, and have Kerley who is slot wide receiver. In my opinion one player who I feel the Jets should consider is Tyler Lockett wide receiver from Kansas State. With uncertainty that Percy may not be back and the Jets hurting on special teams I feel Lockett would be a great candidate for the Jets. His dad Kevin Lockett played for the Jets in 2003.

Jets could use more weapons on offense especially if they miss out on drafting wide receivers early during the draft. Lockett could make an immediate impact on special teams for the Jets. He is currently the best kick returner and punt returner in the Nation. He's dynamic, fast, and be the speedster type wide receiver the Jets need that can both the run game and the open up the field.

assuming we drop harvin we lose our 6th so where would you draft him? 3rd round prob to high maybe taking him 4th.

if they keep harvin we lose our 4th and I doubt he would be their in the 5th?

It all depends how well he preforms during the combine and senior bowl. Could use a speedster type wide receiver and I feel that he can be a great late round pick up that can contribute on the Jets both on the field as well as special teams. Harvin is not a lock to come back and is injury prone. I feel that Lockett is a player that the Jets should target.

Not really sure he is a sleeper pick. His speed is pretty well known. If I had to guess I suspect he will go in the 3-4 round. Depending how he runs could even go late 2nd.

Very early yet to be giving these guys round grades I know, but he is a guy to keep an eye on if he starts to slide

He is not the biggest guy around, but he can go up and make plays. Great at getting separation and setting up the defender. At times his hands are a little inconsistent. Definitely a player to keep an eye on.

I love it! Thank you for sharing! One of my favorite WR's coming out in this year's draft.

Lockett is NOT a sleeper pick. I've watched the Senior Bowl and all its practices. His stock is gonna sky rocket. Another guy that made a name for himself in the Senior Bowl is Quandre Diggs. Jets, take note.

He was when I made this post and I agree. Now he's projected to be a 3rd round pick when it comes draft day. Had impressive practices which helped his stock go up. I've heard of the Texas Long horn. I like him and I agree Jets should take a look at him and Kevin White CB of TCU. I also like Phillip Dorsett, WR from Miami.
