I seriously doubt that his, or his agents, tactic is going to get anything done other than create some animosity between him and the team. Not right now, at least. They'll just simply exercise his fifth year option and see how he plays this season before deciding on what kind of offer they will make at the end of season. He could use sitting out to annoy them but that's probably all he would accomplish if they decide to stick to their guns.
