A steal of a trade brought the Jets their ‘go-to guy’

He has two more years on his contract after this -- as long as he keeps playing at this level, I can see him playing out the contract and then calling it quits. Since his game is not dependent on speed, he should be good for a couple more seasons.
completely agree..

As long as Marshall stays concentrating in catching the ball, he doesn't drop them ofcourse and is a top flight receiver. Well he is regardless but when he loses his concentration it takes his game down notches to where he looks average at best and he isn't a average WR. He is a HOF caliber WR and I beleive he will get inducted. Not first ballot ofcourse but he will get there. Hopefully he plays 3-4 more years with us and goes in as a Jet.

HoF players don't get inducted as a member of any team.
They get inducted as individuals with the lengths of their entire team(s) service(s) inscribed on the plaque.
If or when Marshall is indicted, his bust will be identical to everyone else's and the list of teams he played for with be identical in appearance as everyone else's.

There are other exhibits in the hall that do make use of a player's likeness in their jersey and uniform, but it's extremely limited and the display HYATT™ is thinking of only has 1 or 2 players for each team in a large room with all NFL teams represented.
There may have been one or two team dioramas with as many as 3 manikins, but mostly it's limited to 1 - and that 1 is the most famous member of the team, or a holder of a significant NFL record.
BM would have a long way to go to displace Joe Willy in the Jets booth.

He doesn't have great hands, he'll drop some - that's been the knock on him his whole career (but I agree with you, it's probably more of a concentration issue than anything else). Either way, that's not likely to change now. You get what you get.

I realize the players don't go in under a team. They go in as a player strictly for their accomplishments on and somewhat off the field. However; with each player that goes in that played with more then one team, it seems they recognize or identity themselves with one team more then other(s). So do the fans and the NFL and the other HOFers to a extent. Think of Curtis Martin for example or Jerome Bettis. Curtis was recognized and identified himself as a Jet even though he played for the Patriots and Bettis with the Steelers even though he played with the Rams. Same will for LT, everyone knows he played with the Jets but he will no dought go in a Charger. Farve will go in a Packer, period!

Yes, and no.
You are confusing 2 separate concepts.
FANS associate a player with a team, but the HoF itself is carefully & completely neutral about it. They gives no inductee any more weight for any team they played for over any other team they played for.
You will not see a likeness of Favre in the HoF dressed in G&G or in burple and puke, or in G&W.
He will simply be a bronze bust with a plaque under it - unless he should happen to be one of the rare exceptions that becomes a manikin for a particular team's uniform display in an annex portion of the HoF.

Unlike Basa-bahl, NFL players DO NOT get inducted or "go in as" anything - except themselves.
